I'm afraid I agree with vasty on this one; the OP has started two threads that were rather insulting to a great number of posters - to then cry foul because the forum attack dog bites back is a bit pathetic in my view.

I say again - if you don't want to read numerous pages of opinion, speculation, discussion and argument, don't use an internet forum, use the club website.

i would say if we were given the nod, in the 1st year we would increse home fans at least 1000.

2500 (last years average) to 3500..

and away fans bring 1000 (average) .

so yeah 4500, 1st year. a good starting block to build on.

realistically if you get relagated, how many will be at the revamped Belle Vue? i think you will be supprised as to how many fans will/might decide not to bother paying to watch Championship rugby.

that is all correct. however fans dont tend to pay to watch a loosing team, at the bottom of the league do they?!

and to be fair, internally at Fax we have improved massivley since we were in SL, as has marketing of the club.

i cant see, given a 3 year franchise, why we wouldnt be able to attract same size crowds as you lot, salford, welshies, broncos......

....take Hull KR for an example.

Don't get me wrong i hold Halifax in great affection, a proper club with great tradition, very much like Hull KR, but it will be a struggle and the fans will be watching a losing team, as most new teams to SL are losing teams.

Many of them only bring a few hundred.

agree with the bit at the bottom though, championship rugby would kill off a lot of our support.

We are at the bottom end of the league and averaging about 7k so it can be done.

It is all ifs and buts, i suppose we will have to wait and see what they decide.

whatever happens the RFL have made a mockery of our game, the best game in the world.

what annoys me, is we have done everything they have asked of us and more (back to back GF's)

In the early 90's Fax used to bring tons to BV. Late 90's prob about 750ish.

It is no good saying what clubs used to bring, its what they bring now that matters.

As I live in Halifax , would love both them and wakey in SL , IMO Halifax is a rugby town and I could see their crowds growing.

Really? at cas i would say those 3 plus fc and most years bradford, wire and saints bring 1000+ though if its on tv it obviously changes that. I would say cas take a 1000 to all our yorkshire games (about 750 across the penines and 500 to wales and london, as for france dont know havent been).

Bradford used to bring 1000 but no longer do. I must admit I forgot Cas who do easily bring 1000 to us.

Cas probs brings more

i would say wakey probably bring 1000-1500 to us (depending on weather, if on tv and league form).
