| BTW, for those who dont know, Swinton currently play their home games at Leigh Sporting Village. So dont go to Sedgley Park union ground.

| Charlie will be there this afternoon , cheering the Lions on , im going for a score of Swinton 28 - Cougars 20 ,should be a very good game , Swinton have played some good rugby this season , underestimate them at your peril .
I think by the time Friday morning arrives you Cougars will be having Nightmares about the LSV , Im going for a Leythers 36 - Cougars 14 score on Thursday , then the final game Fevvers 48 - Cougars 12 , nowt much to cheer about there .

| Well - Laughton ref again spoils another game.
You carnt also win a game if you constantly drop the ball.
Sam Obst had a good game so did our forwards
Glad to see the return of Ben sagar also.
Bring on Thursday night hopefully we can be a bit louder and get behind the players and give them a bit of a lift after today's performance

Would agree with that, neither team did enough to deserve to win the game.
Disappointing performance today. Didn't see the logic of playing Ryan Smith at full back. Especially when James H is in the side. You could tell it wasn't his natural position. The try that levelled things for Swinton was as a result of him not attacking the ball. He did his best though.
I don't why but there seems to be a spark missing from the side at the moment a lack of desire and enthusiasm. You'd expect the players to be really up for it, playing for new contracts in front of the new coach but it's just not there, it's as if they've settled for 6th place and wherever that takes us to in the playoffs.

| That was cack!
Like watching the Chinese and Korean badminton teams taking it in turns to play into the net rather than actually trying to win.
Would get more structured game-play from a bunch of headless chickens.
A waste of petrol and entry fee.
Not a happy bunny.

| Do you know dreamer that is probably the first time I have read you like this.
Cougars should not only be selling themselves to the coach but to the fans who are contemplating next seasons tickets!!!!
Dont think we have played well for ages, didnt go tonight to be honest - loosing interest. Like my team at the moment I am hit and miss and dont give a damn.

I don't like slating the team and still feel disappointed, the expectation before the match was that the release of pressure from knowing we have qualified might bring out some flowing rugby. Sadly not! It looked like the team didn't know each other.
Shickell's break and twinkle toed pass to Sam for him to go in under the posts was the sort of rugby we can play, and young Sheriffe's one man tackle and rag doll throw into touch of their winger was the attitude I expected from the rest of the team. Felt sorry for Smith, he clearly isn't a full back.
Two "ordinary" teams playing to a crowd of just over 500 -YES 500!!! How the hell do Swinton manage on that AND have to pay someone else's stadium management fee
Hey ho, that's been the ups and downs of watching Cougars for the last few years, it will be just like us to beat Leigh now ([iplease[/i)
JD still has a job to do and I hope he motivates the team to make a fist of it against Leigh and wants to go out with a roar rather than a whimper.

Dreamer i agree totally with your post , im a Leyther and was at the game yesterday , i felt both teams were very poor , though Swinton were missing a couple of front line players .
Having said that the Cougars fans were very vocal and never stopped cheering your team on , i know you can play better than that , hopefully not on thursday though .
Again i agree about the crowd , 500 how Swinton survive its beyond me ,they must pay not far off the rent we pay at the LSV , and we have been told we need crowds of 1800 to break even , Swinton may have problems soon .

To be fair we had a few out as well, including my choice for Player if the Year, Craig Moss at full back. The ones that came in are capable of doing a good job and Jessie-Joe Sheriffe had a good game out on the wing in place of Tadulala. It looked like he wanted to earn a place in the team.
I know we had some injuries and suspensions for today and during the season. But JD seems to remind me of the former Chelsea manager Claudio Ranieri aka "The Tinkerman". We never seem to have the same team out for more than a couple of games and I think it's what's affecting the way we play in attack.

| Leigh need 1,800 to break even because they used their RFL budget paying off last season. And Swinton only pay for 1/4 of the ground, I believe Leigh pay for half and sometimes 3/4?
A competitive game, with two teams not at their best. Not helped at all by inept refereeing.
Good vocal support from the Cougars, as usual! Good luck in the play-offs.

| Out of the 20 of us that sat together on Sunday there's only 6 of us I know of who's going Thursday night. People have early starts for wembley the following morning. The big red fun bus isn't going due to this & work / holiday commitments. I think it will be a very poor turn out from the cougars fans. Me the loyal fan I am as booked a later train to the capital on Friday.
