| Many thanks for doing the vids as due to current work position am likely to miss majority of games this season which is a bummer as not missed many over last couple of years.

| It was worrying, to see how easy Toulouse scored down our left hand side.

| How on earth did Dan Belcher get Man of the Match?
Could well have been the worst choice i've ever seen.
We had no answer at all to the speed that their halves moved the ball out wide.
Again we lacked angles and creativity in attack we seemed to be using the same 2 or 3 set moves and we didn't look to test them out wide enough. It's alarming that nobody seems to backing up the ball carriers looking for an offload.
That said we lost by 14 points to a Championship side and had 4 tries disallowed (at least 2 of the decisions looked correct). It's by no means a bad effort.

| Dan Belcher missed a few tackles and I don't think he had his greatest night, but someone obviously viewed that differently than me. I agree with Stealth, we did lack creativity at times. Certainly in the first half Hutch had a hughe overlap, but instead we chose to go down the short side and came away with nothing. Was that lack of vision, or just a error in numbering? Maybe a bit of both. I'm very careful not to criticise the half backs too much. There an easy target at the moment. In the main the team is as last year, with the exception of the half backs and it will take time. Danny Jones may have lacked a bit of pace, but he was creative and we are missing him. He has gone now and we have to work with what we've got.
Saturday was my first game where I was able to see the whole match, rather than 5/10 minute highlights. I was concerned that we lacked creativity at the half back area. It's still early days and hope they will come good.
As JD said in his after match speech, our defence is the first 15 minutes or so was poor and old habits seemed to creep in. Lawton didn't play so I wonder how much of a factor this was. Duffy was also missing on the right so there were a few changes in the backs.
On the postives we started the second half like a different team and at one point I thought we might get back into it, but a few mistakes let them get away.
Lets see what happens when they return is just under 2 weeks. Heres hoping.......

| Thought Jermaine should have been man of the match by a clear mile. Hope we have sorted out all the issues soon, need a few wins under our belt to bring in a crowd again.

| Flipping heck, are we talking about rugby again? I thought we had become a social network. Word on the street is GW is trying to oust Julian Assange
Their early tries should have been dealt with but at least we learned and tightened up our edge defence.
Our forwards matched theirs but their backs moved the ball quicker.
They had a very quick onrushing umbrella defence that meant we had to play the ball deep. I'm surprised we didn't try more grubber kicks/chips over the top to keep them back.
IMO we won't be fully in shape until the start of the season proper and to be fair, he has got to get a look at all the players. With a bit more thought we could have pushed them much closer, or even won. It will be interesting how we (and they) handle the rematch.

| in attack the backs took the ball standing still too often and there were tacklers on them immediately. that's when we have no penetration.
we shouldn't use the "but they're a championship side" excuse too often because we were with them in the same area of the table last year - that goes for Dewsbury and Toulouse.
Benjafield impressed me. Wray's try was good - at least he got down low to get over. of course he's got less far to go than others

| Belcher was quite clearly MOM in my opinion, a few came close but Belcher stood out for me.
Other 'Top Cats' were Helliwell and Smith.

There's a good combination evolving in the Toulouse back line where they move the ball quickly and create space. It will be interesting to see how they ramp up the synergy between them against London Skolars this weekend before they return to Keighley in 2 weeks.
Josh Lewis is a class act out from Australia - very influential - i think he played for the Cronulla Sharks in the NRL , and this new winger Gregory White looks interesting who has come in for Rory Bromley . It was only his 3rd game of league in 2 years apparantly - straight out of the Warringah Rugby Union Club in Sydney's Premiership - he has a great turn of pace. There's some info here on him : en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Gregory_White . Could be interesting if they retain White in attack when Bromley returns in a couple of months.
Lots of tries ... but the defence of Toulouse needs to improve to be in top place contention.

I thought at the start of the season and in 2009 Belch was one of the best young players at Cougars. Top try scorer in the nines in 2010. A top fella but clearly lost his mojo at the mo. On Saturday he was doing the work of two men. Unfortunately they were Laurel and Hardy.
I think Dan knew this and didn't seem too delighted to get MOM. A talent who I am dam sure will return to the devastating player we knew. I'm sure he will run riot in Championship 1, just not yet. I'm sure JD Mat & Glen will coach the best out of him.
