I'm having a good day today and was going to post the 20/1 shot I put £9 on, but I didn't do it with much confidence so did not bother. Was 33/1 earlier and was called Baldemar. went off at 18/1. Was going to post but was unsure if anyone was going to have a dabble on it anyway.

Yeh, my lucky pin's landed on Tombi for this afternoon's big race as well.

Just gonna hold fire a while though, make sure the "short, sharp shower" forecast on the Morning Line earlier doesn't do too much damage to conditions.

Otherwise, I'll be joining you to the tune of a few bob.

Hope you're right - does look slightly overpriced (I know that doesn't mean we'll win though).

To be honest I think the next two league games against Stoke and Birmingham will give us some insight into that. Less than 4 points and you may be right.

Genki and Mac Gille Eoin look like the ones for me but so many horses look like they could win this one.

It shouldn't do too much damage tbh - will make the top surface a bit wet but nothing more. It was very quick yesterday (much faster than advertised) so at an estimate it's good to firm all over. Really good chance today with plenty of pace high - wait and see how the Silver Cup goes too today mind

Whats your thoughts on Tombi? doesnt seem much to go on in recent races, Mac Gille Eoin is the one thats been given to me as a tip.

Difficult racing today ...

Green Manalishi (2.05) and Evens And Odds (3.10) are my two in the Ayr sprints.

Music Show should go well inbetween (2.35 Ayr) and Ragamuffin Man (3.40 Newmarket) looks overpriced considering it's form with Saga de Tercey.

Broomielaw looks a cracking each-way bet at Newbury (2.50) and Triple Aspect (3.25) should bounce back at shorter odds.

Mac Gille Eoin has a shot but he's likely going to be making his own running on the far side (drawn 12) and i'm not convinced that he's on the right side.

Tombi is a good horse - his runs this year have been in better races (bar the Hamilton Park run) including when running subsequent G1 winner Regal Parade (won this last year) to a length off levels over 7f. He's also run well at York in the City of York Stakes (plenty of winners in front of him and a moral winner in Balcarce Nov, the race was near enough a Group 3 or poor Group 2 and he was slowly away). A fast run 6f should be good for him though he might get outpaced early on which is the danger and the good to firm (on the fast side of this IMO) will be right up his street.

Too big a price at the 40/1 for sure. Had a small bet on Kevin Ryan's Advanced who's a good horse on his day too.

Miles clear far side in the Silver Cup - only consolation is that we were on the winner



Tombi bet looks a bit dead in the water now IMO but will cling to the hope that the pace nearside will help matters.
