| Murray has the game to beat the big boys on his day but rarely keeps it up (oo er missus) for the full game. He ran Nadal off the court for the first set, but after a bright start to the second just fell away badly. You cannot drop your level and put in that many unforced errors against a player of Nadal's quality.

Nadal and Federer are the best there's ever been, they're unbelievable players. Murray could've and should've performed better after going a set up but it has to be difficult to keep up that level of performance against one of the best players there's ever been. Some of them shots he played in the later set you just couldn't return.

Yes lets burn him, forget the all the charity work he does that he arranges, and lets forget the dignity he has in defeat, all because he has his initials on his shirt.

Unbelievable some of the criticisms people have sometimes isn't it, only the British public could have a go at Federer because he has intial clothing. Didn't think you were still on these forums mate, it's been a while.

| Even if Murray had beaten Nadal, the way Djokovic wiped the floor with him today Murray would have been lucky to win a few games.5 wins in a row for Novac against Nadal. Now we have Federer not able to beat Nadal,Nadal not able to beat Djokovic and Murray not able to beat any of the other 3

Yes ludricous really.
Yeah been away for a while on these forums, much to do with a loss of interest...not for Rugby League, but just the way it is run by the RFL, but thats another debate, im looking forward to the Mtchplay darts and some good debate.
Enjoyed the final today, Novak really deserved his win, i know he has won the Oz Open twice, but a Wimbledon win really puts you on the global map, goes world number 1 tommorow and he'll take some stopping over the next few years.

He was outstanding, the first two sets he blew Nadal away completely. Thought it was a really good match to watch, think BBC team where unfair saying it wasn't a great final, I bet they wouldn't have been saying that had Nadal won it. Djokovic played some brilliant shots and some great tennis. It's the one he's always wanted and nice to see Nadal/Federer's domination of Wimbledon come to an end.
Can't wait for the Matchplay, the only major Taylor's gripping onto so be interesting to see how he performs. Look forward to some good debate on the darts thread when it gets going. Be good to see you over there.

He's from Stockport. Somewhere nice in Stockport though I'd suggest, Bramhall or the likes.

Probably won't make the top 50 in the world, to be honest.....He was only the 15th seed in the Youth singles, so it indicates he isn't really a consistant power at that level, so to expect him to transfer it to the senior tour is a bit optimistic.
Good luck to the lad, though I'm pretty sure the media and public alike, will take great delight in picking him apart in the years to come.

| Im sure Broady will do well in the Davis Cup in a few years time, in an Eastern European Zone 8 Relegation decider against Kazakhstan.

Feel a bit sorry for Murray....After the last of this year's Grand Slams, I think its fair to say that the above situation is about right.
The frustrating thing is that Murray is pretty much head and shoulders above those below him....His record of 1 final and 3 semi final appearances in this year's Slam's are an indication that but for the presence of 2 top class players such as Djokovic and Nadal (and that's in any era), Murray would be building a decent record of his own.
I'm not sure of the answer for Murray...Unless he has a dramatic Djokovic-style improvement in him in the next 12-18 months, then it looks like Murray may be set for a career of playing the eternal semi finalist, or whipping boy finalist, when one of the big hitters has an off day and fails to make the final.

| Nice to see the Williams family collective chip on the shoulder rearing its ugly, man-sized head again.
I'm just surprised she didn't throw in the "is it coz I is black" line to cap it off.

To be fair to Serena, if anyone should have an understanding of what it's like to be unattractive it's her.

| Are we all geared up for the big Davis Cup clash then - GB v Hungary?
It gives an idea of how far British tennis has fallen that Andy Murray is going to be up against a player who gave up the ATP Tour to concentrate on his law studies and currently has no world ranking.
