Well, kind of, yes. They've tried to play him behind Rooney and it didn't work. If Torres was English, Gerrard would play in the middle every game behind him. But because we don't have a forward like Torres, he's kind of shifted him to the left, but he swaps around with Rooney in the middle throughout games, and it seems to benefit both players. However, Rooney has performed much better than Gerrard for England in recent times, so it's to be expected that Capello will try to maintain his good form, and build his side around the form player, but it's clear he's also got Gerrard playing better than he did under Shteve McLaren.

Liverpool did far better than I expected but they must wonder how they never won it. Only lost 2 games all season, best goal difference and way ahead in the head to head's for the top 4.

Benitez is losing plot again, to say that bust up between Carragher and Arbeloa was all down to team spirit and expected is rubbish. Nobody wants see their team players do that on the pitch.

I agree. I think what he meant was they were arguing for the right reasons. Carra thought we were slacking, so he made sure Arbeloa knew what he thought. It wasn't right of him to do that during the game, especially in the manner he did it, but his reasons behind it were right, there was no malice.

Tevez is gone mate. Not a chance in hell he will say IMO. He waved to the fans, he would not answer the question about staying and did not attend the awards last night.

Sad to see him go but we have to trust Fergie to make the right decisions and maybe he feels for £20/30m he can get a better/more suited striker for the team.

Let him go and see how succesful he is. I've had enough with him now. I loved the fella, but the whole thing is getting boring. If he feels he's been dis-respected because he's not started every match, let him sob down the M62 to Liverpool, filling Joorabchins pockets, where he'll no doubt feel dis-respected again; he will not start every game at any top club. If starting every game is what he wants, City is his best bet.

It makes me laugh, last season, everyone wanted Ronaldo hung when he wouldn't commit his future to United, me included, but Tevez is some sort of hero? It doesn't sit right with me all of a sudden. He has publically stated his desire to leave and go to one of our rivals. The sooner we're shut of him, the better now. What should've been a weekend all about winning the league and equalling Liverpools title haul, has been all about him. Joorabchin must be loving it.

From the outside it appears that he wants to stay but the club and his owners are not agreeing a deal. At the end of the day at the end of this season his loan is up, he needs to find a new club. You can't blame him for wanting to sign for a club and settle his future.
