James to miss out and Bateman rested as it is well publicised that he is carrying a knock. I don't think Wane will pick a Rocky at 6 though

| think Powell will be at 6 as he didn't do anything wrong last game, Hudds are a big team so he might go 3 props on the bench and a 2nd row who covers the backs as well

| I think Powell will start at 6, possibly with Hamsphire on the bench. When you look at the stats from the Salford game, Williams made 38 tackles with 0 misses and Powell made 28 with 1 miss, I really don't think Hampshire could cope with that sort of defensive work in the line.
Shame Flower and Farrell aren't back, would have been good for them to get a game under their belt before Cas. Pettybourne seems to have been "back this week" for about a month now!
Bowen
Manfredi
Goulding
Gelling
Burgess
Powell
Smith
Taylor
Williams
Crosby
Bateman
Hughes
O'Loughlin
Sutton/James
Dudson
Burke
Hampshire
Connor Farrell keeps making the 19 and is unlucky not to have featured while we've had so many injuries, but I'd prefer to see us try and build some momentum for the cup QF and play as strong a squad as possible this week.

| Difficult to pick a team, given the changes to the final 17 compared to the 19 man squads in the last couple of weeks. Guess we'll have to wait and see who pops up on Thursday.

Agreed. Powell at 9 or interchanging with Williams at hooker I reckon.

Thats pretty much what I would go with, apart from swapping Sutton for James.

Hudds have dropped two of their big players and given one away on loan. Eorl a ex hooker a second row and a rookie will make up our front row.

| I just hope O'Loughlin isnt coming back too soon. From his last few injuries he has only played a game or two and been out again and I'd rather he just came back when he was properly right.

| It doesn't seem like Lockers has been rushed to be fair. He's been mentioned most weeks as possibly playing so I think they've played it pretty cautiously.
It'll be really interesting to see who comes back next week. I'd have expected a few more for this week if they had a chance for next week. It seems a risky move to throw Flower, Pettybourne and Farrell all back in at the same time whilst also having potential concerns over guys like Lockers, Micky Mac and Sarginson breaking down.

It seems like it has been a case of several niggly injuries holding Lockers back over the last few weeks, which is probably a good thing.
As it stands I wouldn't bring Flower or Pettybourne back for the cup tie. Neither have played since Good Friday and won't be match fit even if they are over their injuries. We have enough cover at prop to not risk playing them, even in a big game like a Cup QF. If Farrell is fit I think he should go straight back in though. Micky Mac is obviously another big concern, but it sounded like it was more precaution keeping him out this week from what SW said in his interview this week.

| I'd like to see Rocky at 6 with Williams and Powell sharing the 9 spot.
Alternatively Lockers has played at 9 and done a good job. Can see Wane starting with Lockers at 9 with Williams on the interchange starting Powell at 6.
This would easy Lockers back into the team as he's be sharing game time with Williams.
I think we should rest Bateman if we can. Looking at things realistically it's just 2pts, exactly the same awarded if we beat Hudds to if we beat London.
Goal is to get the team knowing the structures and being ready for the playoffs. Bateman has played a lot lately, give him some time to rest up.

| I think we need to get used to Locky being a bit part player and brought out for the bigger games. To me it looks like he has a long standing injury that needs to be managed for the rest of his career.
Expect another "muscle injury" after the Cas games.

| think this one may be a step to far, i thought we looked a little sluggish against salford in patches which is understandable after the epic magic match, but huddersfield always up there game against us.

| I think we'll see Hampshire on the bench and the hooker halfback rotation between Williams and Powell (or Smith) then Hampshire to come on at #6.

That's what I'd expect.
I'd like to see us rest Bateman but doubt Wane will feel able to. It's good to rest players and it is only 2 points but it's also a chance to build momentum. Bateman can be given a decent rest after next week.
I'd really like to see Greg Burke get a run tonight as well.
