| Best game i have seen him have in a wigan shirt last night. The defensive work he put in in his first stint was outstanding. His line that he ran for his try was perfect. More of the same please, Tuson is getting better and better the more game time he plays.

| I've never been hugely convinced by Tuson but he was very impressive last night. He was making an impact when taking the ball into contact, something that he's struggled to do a little too often previously.
He's getting himself into the right places at the right times too and getting on the scoresheet.
He needed to step up a lot this year with Hock gone and now with Hansen out injured and it looks like he's doing just that.

| For me he's a lesser version of HH or at least about the same level HH was at a similar age.
Please don't get me wrong I'm not slating him as he's a good lad, has a great work ethic and buts his body on the line for the cause.
It's excellent for Wigan to be able to call on a like for like replacement in times of need
BUT
He's not going to be in the squad or get his current mins when HH comes back into the team.
Tuscon deserves a weekly starting 2nd row spot at a SL side. Unless he leaves Wigan or HH does I can't see him getting the regular games that he needs or deserves.
It's a cruel world sometimes when you play for one of the top sides in the league. You've either got top players in front of you or alternatively your always looking behind you as more and more quality lads are coming through.

| But suppose, as has been rumoured that HH does leave after this season perhaps Tuson offers a replacement in the making.
I suspect that what Tuson has needed is game time - last season he was doing a few minutes here a few minutes there - longer stints are possibly allowing to get into the game more.

If HH does leave then Tuscon is the ready made, like for like replacement.
If Hughes doesn't work out a centre this year i'm sure he'd be seriously considered for that 2nd row spot as well.
Again Hughes is another top draw player that we have to develop as he's got the attributes to be as good as anyone.
We've got real strength in depth in the forwards

| His defence was outstanding last night and he's running some superb lines off o'loughlins passes. IMO he is improving bit by bit every single year and he keeps proving everybody wrong, he always goes un noticed because of the quality second rowers at the club in the past couple of years in Hock, Hoffman and Hansen. He has never let us down, not the most exciting type of player but the exact type of player every club needs and if he keeps improving year on the way he is doing then he will be here a long time.
It's Tuson by the way not Tuscon, Tuscon plays in the same team as Tompkins I think.

| I have always been impressed by Tuson and my thoughts on him have never changed, give him enough minutes and he'll prove he's a good player. He's a player that works his socks off every game and does the little things well and often. He isn't an impact player that will do eye catching things in short bursts.
One thing I really like about him above some of our other you g forwards is he has a real aggressive streak. I think that will serve him very well as he matures.

| the guy i sit next to never rated HH
but everyone has their own opinion on players
however he has now changed after the last couple of seasons
personnally i'm more than happy with Tuson
he runs and tackles well above his weight (as do quite a few of the young lads in the side), and he will only get better with game time and with a bit more size as he develops physically

There was a rumour of him leaving for NZ Warriors for 2014 around the same time as the Hock to Parramatta talk started appearing.

| Oh ok.
So we're just going to continue to let all of our best players leave then?

| I've read 2 rumours, one says he's signed for the NZ Warriors and the other says hes agreed a new deal and sorted a testmonial with Wigan.
I think the truth is he's probably not decided yet.

we can only offer them what we can afford and is within the salary cap. Every team is in the same boat unless the mysterious brown envelopes change hands

| With the number and quality of last season's departures I don't think the celery crap is something to worry about.
Tuson, as has been said, tackles well above his size and weight. He really is a big hitter, same as MicMac. That's why SW picks him.
Now it looks as though he's added a bit of attacking flair to his game.
I do think a few of the players currently injured are going to have to wait to get their places back. HH isn't going to walk in the starting the 13 after a 10 week or so lay off. He'll be on the bench initially I reckon.
Chris Tuson will have to provide a reason for SW to drop him, if he doesn't he will stay in the 17 and maybe starting 13.
