| it is, all be it with every other superleague club but some people still aren't happy.
Didn't Saracens fork out a ridiculous amount of freebies for this game to?

People would only moan that they'd have to travel to said stadium, and that the prices arent 20p per ticket to subsidise there going to Manchester or Liverpool. It won't work, simply because, RL fans are stuck in their ways, and won't try anything new.

| Rugby League fans wouldn't travel to a bigger stadium. The closest ones are in Manchester and Liverpool which is a shame.
BTW, it is being taken to a bigger stadium. The Magic Weekend.

| No. Wr have the derby at the Etihad stadium in a month and have only sold 1000 tickets. It's just not the same if it isn't at Wigan or Saints. Attendances were low for the playoff games too, as at that point of the season we were playing our 5th and 6th derby games. It was overkill.

| No. Sell-outs are good for the game as they increase demand.

I agree. Hopefully going forward it will increase the chances of the DW derby selling out every time. i.e. Anyone missing out tomorrow would hopefully be thinking that no way would they miss out on the return visit.

Where 12000 -13000 Wigan and Saints fans will be in attendance, tops.

For an extra 3k on the gate? No thanks! Icrease the demand untill we always sell-out. The increase the ticket price.

We'd struggle to get 16,000. Then there is the payment to BWFC.
Also, which would be held at the neutral venue, the home fixture (why when we could attract 25k at the DW anyway), or the away fixture where we can guarantee 18,500 ?? Would Stains be happy giving up home advantage year after year? Doubt it.
Not that they would ever consider it, but it would make more commercial sense for the DW to host both derby matches but Stains obtain the lions share of the 'home' gate. Similar to what the Milan clubs do in the San Siro Stadium when it comes to derby day.

| You'd do well to find enough ££ to interest Gartside (Bwfc chairman).
WCC is a different thing all together.
He would be open to it - Sale played there a few years ago on a similar idea - but it's all about the £££ especially for Garty
