A good off seasons recruitment would look something like-

Outs- Roberts and Deacon to add to the others

Ins- Carney/Chase, a centre and a back up forward or 2.

Can't say I'm optimistic though.

Chase would cost a lot, Carney would take half a season going through various appeals and finish up without a Visa. He got refused one at Huddersfield a couple of years ago, and he's been in more trouble since then.

They're amongst the reasons I'm not optimistic.

Carney's bar bill wouldn't be on the SC though.
Mind you, I think there will be at least 1 big overseas signing by you being announced soon, probably a halfback.

I think ISC being next years kit supplier was pretty common knowledge, but if IL has gone to Australia to finalise that deal instead of finding us a stand off i'll cut his nuts off

Can't think of any stand offs of any quality that might be available? Even the NRL goes through periods when some positions are a bit weak - right now its good young halfbacks (both 6 and 7). Hence the ridiculous amounts being thrown at Chris Sandow - probably the most erratic player in any position in the NRL.

Taking his drinking antics away what do you think to Todd Carneys playing ability?
