He played for Wigan for 14 years, making 467 appearances. He won the challenge cup with Wigan 9 times and he won the league 7 times while also winning the WCC 3 times. He was our captain and our leader. He is a true Wigan legend.

There is no doubt that Shaun is a Wigan legend (and BK is not). He is also one of my favourite players from the past.
My point ed around his likely focus on his current role- an RU coach. In actual fact he did talk about some RL, but tbh I had heard it all before so switched off. |

Wigan legend. Rugby League legend and sporting legend. The most decorated player in the history of our game and I don't care what anybody says I'd love him back as head coach.
He knows rugby inside out and has proved he can manage men at the highest standard.
Matt Dawson, world cup winner said it was a crime that England RU allowed Edwards to go to Wales as he is the best rugby coach in the world!
Praise indeed!!
Mr Edwards, please come back to the club that made you and that you once helped to make.
