| A win would have been ideal, obviously, but in the context of "Surreal Sunday", in which Warrington and Huddersfield both lost, we've come out alright. After all, if we win our game in hand we'll go top.

| Obviously with being 22-4 up you would expect to win, but 1 pt gained on the teams above us...bring on the Stains

Exactly. That's how I have to look at it. Gutting as today was, it's actually the best result of the top 3, so we've improved our position relative to Wire and Hudds, just not as much as we should!

| A win next Friday and Wigan go top. A win today and it wouldn't have changed the league position. Given the context of the weekend the result is ok even though it is a point lost. A bolloking from Madge and Wane prior to next Friday is no bad thing. Win the next two games and the league position will start looking good. Easier said than done of course. I am sure Wire and Hudds would have been happier with a least a draw today.

| I said last week that Wire would slip up somewhere along the line, they did it this week. We should have really took full advantage of the loss but a point is a point. we still have our game in hand if we can match Wire par for par with wins, particularly if they slip up again before it and we win on those weekends. all in all, still 3rd with a point advantage to us. not too bad

| I respectfully disagree.
1) No disrespect to Cas but we should be beating them, especially with their star player only on the bench.
2) We had such a lead we should have never have done anything but with that game, regardless if Sam or Carmont featured or not.
I totally see your point, but considering we lost last week, and have a very tough derby this week coming, this was a costly draw. Potentially 1 from 3 isn't good enough.

Well said. This attitude of accepting second best is what's stopping us from topping the table. This is not the first game this season when we have let the opposition back in costing us vital points. Sorry ,not good enough.

It certainly could be better, but relative to this weekend's other games it is a good result. Looking on the bright side is good for morale! There are far too many doom and gloomists on this forum who appear to slide into depresssion at the slightest blip. I'd argue that accepting the reality that we will not win every single game is not what is stopping us from topping the table - I've said it before and I'll say it again: if all teams had played an equal number of games we would very likely have been sat at the top of the table since Round 6. So circumstances have kept us from it, not complacency. We aren't going to go unbeaten, that simply isn't realistic, but last season should be proof that we can have bad form, shocking upsets, and still come good by October.
