| I reckon Amos has slipped behind Marsh and Charnley in the pecking order, after his poor recent displays.
I'd rest Hoffman for this one too.

| Good to see Lima, Deacon and Farrel back. Just need Tiny Tim and his inside info now.
Tough to pick a side from that squad. I'd like to see Marsh in the 17 for the sheer effort he showed last week against Catalans, but I have a feeling he won't make the team.
Do doubt we'll hear why Goulding isn't there.

Which is a disgrace IMO. What is his problem? We've all seen what he is capable of over his famous 6 weeks last season but he is proving to be a huge, expensive mistake. All with the benefit of 20/20 hindsight, of course.

| He dropped Charnley after the Wire game therefore he had to drop Goulding after last weeks showing.
Good to see Deacs back so we can finally move Leuluai out of the halves and have proper rotation at hooker. Really hope Madge deoes this anyway and he doesn't start messing about with everyones positions.

| im not sure Goulding has played bad enough to get dropped,
its doing a solid role out there and is being left well open by his inside men not working together and for eachother.
Goulding seems to be a scapegoat, i guess the fans need one every year - no matter how false

He didn't play well against Catalans and was dodgy under the high ball. Madge dropped Charnley after Wire so its no surprise hes dropped Goulding this week.
So every time a player is criticised they're a scapegoat? I haven't really heard much criticism of Goulding this year anyway. Where I sit at Wigan there's only one scapegoat and that's Brett Finch, some very embarrassing comments getting shouted about him on Friday.

| Goulding looked like he picked up an injury against Catalan. He was limping heavily at one point.

He dropped two relatively easy kicks on Friday which led to tries. Roberts and Charnley have been dropped for similar.
Goulding also limped off, which may be the reason he has not been selected, I guess we'll know when the U20 team plays over the weekend.

Finch will come good - just needs a few more games. At the moment he looks like he's trying too hard. Hopefully MM will partner him with Deacs this week, who should be a calming influence on him (and the team).

True, but he made 2 individual errors that led to 12 points for Catalans. Other tries were down to defensive issues as a team.

Agreed. Yeah, Goulding made a couple of errors, but you could equally blame Hoffman's missed tackles for a couple of tries, and even Pat wasn't his usual defensive self. I hope it's just the injury keeping Goulding out.

That was my first thought when I saw he wasn't in the squad. Saying that, he didn't have the best of games, none of them did though.

That would be my team.
Goulding must be rested after a knock last week, Amos not up to speed.
As others have said, Lima needs to start with Prescott on the bench.
Good impact from all the bench players imo

You can't drop Stefan Marsh after his performance against Les Catalans IMO. He had his best game in a Wigan shirt. I don't think Madge will pick him on the wing, but I would like to see him given a shot on the wing. I think he has the attributes to do a good job for us, but I suspect Madge will pick Charnley.
Ryan Hoffman demoted to the bench for his poor display against Les Catalans - same as Joel Tomkins was earlier in the season. Although I still don't expect Madge to do this. In defence of Hoffman, he has been outstanding throughout this season, but you can't fault the displays of Liam Farrell and Harrison Hansen either.
The rest of the side picks itself. You could argue that Leuluai should start at hooker, but I'd prefer him to come on as an impact sub from the bench.

| Difficult one.
Now Faz is back he must play, for me this season he's been the second best second rower behind Hoffman. I would prefer to try Charnley in the centres, for me it makes sense, it's an area we are lacking in and he was awesome there for KR.
Tomkins to stay at FB for the time being-there's no one better to take over as a 1. Consider our best combo in the halves of recent times has been Deacon/Tommy I'd go for that with Finch coming off on the interchange for McM.
Considering theres no Goulding (rightly so) I'd try Marsh on the wing, speed to burn save under the high ball and can defend. Joel looks better as a SR so keep him there.
Tomkins
Marsh Charnley Carmont Pat
Deacon Tommy
Coley McM Prescott
Hoffman Tomkins
