Oh yeah we're all gutted that Ashton has gone. You can just feel the misery amongst the Wigan fans that we let him slip away. So what, the boy has done great in Union but I'm more than happy with Sam Tomkins at Full Back.

Read an article on Chris Ashton last week in the Guardian. It said that when he was at Wigan and Millward wasnt happy with him he would stick him on the wing and this used to annoy Ashton as he wanted to get more involved with the game.

Funny what happens when a few people throw some more money at you...

What concerns me about the Ashton switching codes story is the amount of media attention he's getting... a few tries and he's being talked about every day. Its an attractive offer for young rugby league players, a nice pay cheque and the attention they will get if they simply go out and score some tries.

Looks like Kyle Eastmond will be going the same way.

No doubt his agent will be telling him the same thing and with it playing in full of sellouts at Twickenham, Murrayfield and Millenium with all the fame and fortune that goes with it.
