It seems that St George have yet to agree to play this yet given other (potentially more lucrative) games they are trying to arrange.

I thought the club and RFL would look silly if they have to move the game due to a clash with the Wigan v Man U game, but it looks like that might be the least of potential problems.

Bought my tickets this morning although I did have to go via the club as the ticket hotline informed me that they had no knowledge of this game taking place

So if the game has yet to be confirmed why did they take £42 off me?

You might have got through to Ticketmaster (who aren't selling the tickets) as is the case during busy periods.

Not really. If the game isn't 100% confirmed why is money changing hands? Tickets shouldn't be on sale until the event is officially going ahead. All on the RFL this one. They must have been made aware of St. George's situation and they still went ahead with the ticket sale anyway. Numpties!

Im pretty sure if something changes and you've already bought your ticket that you would be able to get your money back.

No doubt the money will be returned but that's hardly the point.

There's always the option of going to Sydney.
That's if they want to play it anyway!

Were they? This is the thing - I don't think that they would have been aware before starting ticket sales no matter how daft anyone thinks they are.

Maybe it was the responsibility of St George and the NRL to inform them with plenty of prior warning that they may not be able to commit to the fixture this year.

Either way, extremely embarrassing for the sport and a massive disappointment for Wigan if the match ends up getting cancelled. I have a feeling it will end up getting sorted out though some way.

No it was Wigans ticket hotline and I was first in queue too.

Well there was a fair old queue at the ticket office this morning when you paid they said that tickets will be posted on to you no one actually got any tickets.

I was twice today in position 1 on the Wigan ticket hotline and was then transfered to another agency who were not selling these tickets.

If it's not confirmed then how come they're selling the tickets?

Are we advised as season ticket holders to purchase our tickets before the deadline or wait for confirmation or has the club not issued a comment on this yet?

The club have been informed I think but nothing been advised at all yet. It's the RFL's job though I suppose.

If we get past the 2 week priority period is there not a danger of the general public buying season ticket seats when the game hasn't been confirmed.

And another big shock is the OAPs start at 65 not 60 like Wigans policy, we got ours at £20 but our friend who is 64 had to pay £40

Isn't 65 the retirement age though?
