Lee Mossop went off injured after 20 seconds (literally), Jack Hughes on about the half hour and Amos Roberts on 50 minutes limped off. None returned and that was a big factor in Bradford grinding back from 20-0 down early to nick a last minute win 36-32.

Roberts for me is not going to get fit again this year. Best leaving him out now and sticking with, unless others get injured.

Roberts pulled up and went off with what looks like the same injury. He was in real trouble.


Jack Hughes went off and couldn't return.
Matty Sarsfield, went off but had to come back on late in the game although he was still injured.

All in all a bad day at the office, and to make matters worse there is a rumour going around that Prescotts season may be over, not sure how true that is.

Heard a whisper that he has a detatched retina again. recurrance of the injury he picked up a few years ago. I know for definate that it is an eye injury picked up in full on training.

That isn't what I was told by his uncle last week! He had a clash of heads with fielden in training and reopened the cut above his eye, the doctors at Wigan refused to restitch it and sent him to the hospital to have it stitched. He should be out for 4 weeks though.

i didnt know how true it was. As I said its just what I was told. I would take the word of his uncle though.

Mind you his uncle is a saints supporter so he would probably tell me anything haha

To soon to tell yet, it's only his second game I think, and today wasn't really a fair test with all the unplanned substitutions.

This is becoming for me a major issue. Why do we attempt to bring players back before they are ready.

I simply cannot understand the principle and it has cost us at least once yet we still persist.

Wigan still have a sniff of a top two finish (this league uses the old top 6 super league play off system) but they need Saints to lose or draw their final match on Friday against Bradford and then we have to win both our remaining games.
