| Early days, I realise but on current form who would you expect to see pulling on an England shirt up Leigh in June?
I'd be suprised if aside from O'Loughlin and ST we didn't see Mossop, JT, Glees and possibly one of Coley or Fielden.
Also wouldn't be too shocked to see Shaun Ainscough get called up if he can keep up his high standard at Cas.
Any thoughts?

| if JT, Lockers & ST don't get called up i'd be supremely suprised. Gleeson won't get a call, They will be looking at fielding a younger side and players such as Atkins, Shenton, Yeaman etc will get places before him. Ainscough is a good shout, though throwing him in against the Aussies at the end of the year might not be the best idea.

I agree Gleeson may miss out, but Yeaman is TERRIBLE.
Seriously, what is the big deal with that guy? What does he offer? An absolute nothing centre. Wheeler is already a better player and he's not even a centre.

| Get what your saying about the centres but if you consider that the back line could possibly consist of -
Eastmond, ST, Shenton, Atkins, Hall/Fox/Riley/Ainscough and Briscoe there's very little experience there and in terms of the 4 nations we need someone who can set an example, regroup, etc.
Just think that of the current form players Gleeson fits that bill.
Suppose it all depends on who is in charge come June time!

| Like Riggs Warrior said it's tough to predict a squad when there isn't even a coach in place to actually pick it! I'd imagine that the squad won't be a long way away from the one Tony Smith picked for the Four Nations Final. Will Burgess and Ellis be flying back for the game? Tommy Leuluai and Brent Webb flew back to Oz for the Anzac Test last year so will the NRL return the favour?

| I'll probably get beaten down here but I think we should axe the likes of Morley and Peacock and start with a fresh young team. Get them all experienced and build up from there. Might mean a flogging in the autumn but Morley & Peacock are not going to be around in 2013 for the World Cup so why bother to play them?

I don't think there's much point sending a load of kids over to Oz to get a pummelling. It will do more harm than good IMO. Blooding in youngsters is always necessary for progression but they need guidance and leadership on the field or they would just get bullied by the Aussies

| If I were picking the side i'd be looking at giving a few younger players a chance and i'd also be looking at filling the fullback spot with a runner. I think for that job i'd go for Leon Pryce. At international level I really think he'd excel in that position.
I think i'd go something like-
L Pryce
Fox
Gleeson(he's still the countries best right centre by a street)
Shenton
Hall
S Tomkins
Eastmond
Graham(c)
Sinfield
Carvell
J Tomkins
Harrison
O'Loughlin
subs
Crabtree
Mossop
Westwood
Lunt
That side would mean us being really understrength for our league game against Wakey that weekend but those lads i've named from Wigan all deserve a chance and i'd be happy to see them named.

To be honest i'm in aggreement, we've underachieved massively over the past decade, what's the point in going over there with a full quota and only beating PNG?
One of the few things I do admire about the kick and clap is the fact that national teams are not afraid to spend time developing a quality team, i.e. England under Woodward, Ireland over the past 5 years and the current France team all seem to hae benefitted from this approach.

I think this could prove to be a good balance of young and old heads, not too sure about Westwood really, never been overly impressed with him and there are better back rowers about - Langley?

I actually think Westwood is a very good player and he'd be in my frontline England 17 but I admit i've forgotten all about Langley who should walk a spot in the 17 against France.
That would probably be the change but if we were playing Australia or NZ i'd have Westwood in.

I agree.
The likes of Sam & Eastmond have to stay as first choice halves.
Players like Joel, Mossop & Westerman need to be brought in.
Peacock, Morley, Westwood, Pryce etc need to be left out.

I think he should be in there somewhere but not at 6. Centre or fullback, he's got the size, pace and running game to trouble most people, something which we're generally lacking in the backs.

| We have a very strong quota of forwards, the three quarter line is nowhere near world class!
Pryce
Riley
Gleeson
Shenton
Hall
Tomkins
Eastmond
Graham
Lunt
Morley
Ellis
Burgess
O Loughlin
Subs
Roby
Tomkins
Mossop
Langley
There are many combinations of forwards, you could leave out Morley, however, I still feel he is good enough and should be on the plane to Oz for 4 nations.
