It's relatively common these days. My old mum had a quadruple bypass when she was 70. They get them out of bed the day after, these days, make them walk up and down a bit, apparently it stops the body going into shut down mode after a massive dose of anasthetic.
Mind you, my mum's a damn sight tougher than most rugby players.

He collapsed in the airport in NZ when he was waiting for the plane to take him to start his new job at Manly.
