Our opponents in the Challenge Cup Salford are getting more confident each week as they start to pick up the wins.
They will be mighty up for this one next week.
Our home form has been abysmal this season, need to be on the ball next week or its curtains till next February.

I said after the game we've been awful at home and Salford have won at Hull, Huddersfield and Leeds.

A defeat next week would be no shock infact it's probably seen as a 50/50 call.

Truth is we have no easy games, because (with the exception of the Saints game) we can't maintain momentum for the full 80. The big worry for me is the emerging pattern of building pressure, not scoring, and then having a 10 minute second half collapse.

If Salford are within 10 of us at the hour mark, they'll fancy their chances.

Dont worry we will beat salford at home, you can quote me on that one.

Don't get me wrong - I think we will win. It's just that we need to be pretty much at our best to beat any SL team at the moment.

For me the league is over. Forget it / finito / kaput....!!

Our only hope is the Challenge Cup. Once we're out of that we're dust!

If we lose to Salford then it should be the end long term for Noble - but I agree that, rather than get rid now, we just wouldn't renew his contract at the end of the season. Better in teh long run to let a new coach come in at the end of the season & spend 4-5 months with the players, rather than picking the reins up mid-season & being able to make a limited impact.

We need to get rid of the mentality of 'if you think you will easily beat a team they will turn you over'.

With Fitzpatrick, Littler, Henry, Goulding, Alker, Parker, Sibbit etc Salford are absolute cack! We should put 30 on them!

does he approach someone behind nobby's back to allow the new man to identify targets? do we move now to get rid of the tosh at our club?

Henry is scoring for fun
Goulding is still settling in
Alker and Parker are playing really well
Sibbit has only just returned to the squad (again)

Cashmere isn't the only decent player......Myler, Ratchford, Turner and Stapleton ain't playing that bad at the moment....

Approaching someone behind Noble's back would be wrong - the last thing we need is infighting on top of everything else. He'd need to tell BN his contract wasn't going to be renewed (privately) & that a replacement would be sought. At the end of the day, BN's a professional & you would think would honour his contract (he'd be being paid after all). Happens all the time with contractors in business.

That said, if we we somehow win the cup, he'll get a new contact

Myler is good, Adamson is a decent player too and not seen much of Ratchford to comment but he is no superstar.

Yeah, we've certainly had more than our fair share of crap aussies over the years, but then again, Neil Baker, Garry Jack, John Cartwright and Michael Hancock weren't all that bad.

I'd hardly have said that Forber, Hunte & Pinkney were over the hill when we had them.

and finally....... Myler is actuually VERY good, Adamson is becoming excellent, and as for Stefan Ratchford, well, he is developing into an all round belter.
