If Gleeson has signed and plays on Thursday, I can't wait to see the impact Amos Roberts could make on the game.

He looks like he has bundles of pace and if we can get him on the outside of Meli, he could be a real threat to their defence.

Calderwood struggled at Wigan for years with no decent centre inside him so this signing (Gleeson), should make us a much bigger threat with ball in hand.

I cant wait for Thursday.

Well atleast Saints wont be able to just pile up infront of Hock and Carmonts side like they have previously now we have an option of the other side of the pitch

Bailey deserves to be in there at the moment.

I think Joel Tomkins might be dropped.

Probably into the 2nd row with Hock. O Loughlin at 13 and Feka/Riddell/Fielden at prop.

Bench of Joel Tomkins/Prescot/Coley and Hansen (possibly)

The team on paper is a good side. Now we just have to get the best out of em.

whats all this fuss with Gleeson he ain't no world beater at best he is an average centre.

At the risk of feeding a troll:

Gleeson is infinitely better than what we currently have in that position (a kid that can't/won't pass to his winger or Bailey, who must dip his hands in SuperGlue before each match, because again, once the ball gets to him, that's the end of the move).

Additionally, the winger outside of Gleeson (whoever it may be) has scored over 20 tries in each of the last few seasons.
Calderwood was lucky if he received the ball 20 times in a season in the wing position (i.e. discounting the number of times that he was forced to run into the Prop position just to see the ball).

If he signs, I'm hopeful.

If he doesn't, I'm worried.

That won't be the plan. Nob told me personally a while ago he was desparate for a centre. Well, now he's got one, and a good 'un too. Great to see IL backing his coach. Onward and upward now? Only if the pack lays the platform. Fingers crossed.
