Greg Bird will be a loss to Super League. He was an excellent player and a joy to watch (especially in the play offs). Les Catalans recruitment of overseas players have been very good - Dallas Johnson, Greg Bird, Mogg, Stacey Jones etc.
I don't think we will see Willie Mason in Super League, but if Catalans could pull it off (somehow) it would give the profile of Super League and Les Catalans a big boost. |

I agree. I think it would be an 'extra body' too far. We've got plenty of strength in depth for nearly all positions now.
I'll be interested to see if we're now about to enter the 'we only sign quality' era. If so, I'll heartily approve. |

Ben Cross is off contract at the end of 2010 and is 31. After reading an article on SMH website he doesn't sound like he will be staying at Newcastle past this year. I would have him for 2 years no danger.
