| Again release Prescott and replace him with who?
With the possible return of Hock he’ll be our 3rd choice prop. Who realistically would we sign as a third choice prop who is better than Prescott and why would we bother?
Wire have Wood, Saints have LMS, Leeds have Burgess and Hudds have Keith Mason/Griffin.
Prescott is defiantly in their league.

Personally I'd use Hock* as his replacement. I just don't think he's good enough/big enough for prop at a top SL side, I agree he has his good games but I've said it before there's just something that I don't like about him. I'm no 'Prescott-hater' he is a decent player, but I just doubt he's good enough for one of the top SL sides.
* May be jumping the gun and presuming Hock will fire on all cylinders straight away, but on his day Hock is 10 times the player Prescott is. Obviously I'm basing this on 2 seasons ago (Or whenever it was he last played).

Interesting, why are you un-decided about Richards? Or are you waiting to see how he fairs after his injury?

I'd be happy with that as most of the guys we've released will be replaced with good young talents on much cheaper wages e.g. Gleeson-Charnley or Coley vs Davies.
It certainly leaves us some cap space to play around with

| If Coley AND O'Carroll leave, IMO it'd be a bit silly not to replace one with a new prop. Or at least promote Crosby/Davies (which is probably what will happen anyway)

Absolutely ridiculous. Prescott has been one of our best props so far this year, he's really stepped up when other props have been out. He may not be amazing, but what do you expect. You can't have 4 James Graham's or Adrian Morley's. You need a couple of great props but then a couple who may not set the world alight, but will get you your 10 yards every time. Letting go of Prescott would be a mistake.

He has, your right, I'll just re-post what I said on the rumours thread;
Quote ="100% Warrior"I agree with that, and that may seem a little strange as in one hand I'm saying get rid (though not as harsh as that!) and another he's our second best prop. There's just something about him that doesn't quite fit, IMO.
Having said that I am more than happy to sit here and be proved wrong on this via his performances.'"

Forgot to add I'd sign Hock, a centre, and if Richards retires then a full back with Roberts moving to the wing.

| If sam doesnt stay at fullback, gleeson goes and carmont retires and pat possibly goes we would be in for a massive reshuffle in the backs!!
1. Roberts
2. ?
3. ?
4. ?
5. ?
Yeah we have Goulding, Marsh, Charnley & Pryce but other than Charnley any of them have yet to show me that they are good enough to be in this team as first choice. Yes Goulding earned the number 2 shirt from last years form but he has been very quiet this year so far, exposed against a class team in St George Illawara, and is he any good without Gleeson? I honestly havent noticed him playing at all this season. Marsh.. hmm seems to be improving as the weeks go by but he's not exactly taken to Super League well in the way that the real good youngsters do i.e. Sam Tomkins, Kallum Watkins, Rhys Evans etc. and as for Pryce, despite all our problems in the backs we still havent brought him back from loan at Quins, makes me think we wont be re signing him, as much as I would like to see him given his chance right now.

That might be a little harsh, he's still playing in exactly the same way he did last year making plenty of metres from dummy half and running the ball back fairly well. No winger can score tries without the ball. Has he even received a pass off Marsh yet? He might not be a threat in the air like some other wingers but that's the fault of the daft decision making from the halfbacks who constantly kick cross field to him when he's our smallest outside back. There's no point having a winger who costs more money when they still won't get the ball.

| Coley has been our best prop for the last two years and has started this year in the same vain. Whilst ever he plays like this i would keep resigning on a rollling one year deal until HE decides its time. Getting rid isnt an option for me and attempts must be made to keep him on.

Best prop? Says a lot.
Wire have Morley
Saints have Graham
Leeds have Peacock

Yeah said the same last season but our pack seemed to overachieve, perhaps our dominant back row makes up for it to an extent. To be fair if Hock's transition to prop goes well and Lima find his feet our pack might not look too shabby.

That plodder played a huge part in us winning the league last year IMO.
Our team last year proved that you need a unit not individually good players. None of our props are good enough to compete with the 3 names in terms of quality but in terms of hard work and doing their little jobs they are doing it right. Our pack dominated saints in the GF. Graham went missing and in the last 30 seconds he spent it walking away from the passage of play looking at the ground.

| As mentioned previously, Prescott is going nowhere as he's in the first year of a 3 year deal.
What we do need are experienced centres. I'd prefer Carmont to stay if Gleeson isn't to return. A replacement this season for Gleeson is unlikely as all quality players have a club and are under contract.
Rather than bring too many in we need to sort out our best half back partnership and the situation with the 9 shirt.
I'd prefer Deacs to go 7 with Finch at 6. Also Tommy to 9 with Mic Mac off the bench. MM isn't up to the 80 mins at 9 yet so do we spell the 9 position or persevere with MM to get him up to speed?
The priority for the position where we really do need a player is right centre. That may only come next season though!
