Just been on the sky sports ticker that Maguire has ruled out any more signings. Can this thread close now?

He ruled out making any signings a couple of weeks ago and then we signed Deacon so i'd take it with a pinch of salt.

Lenagan has said on numerous occasions we probably won't make any signings for next year and has said it during and before previous seasons only for us to now bring in Deacon and then in the past bring in the likes of Gleeson, Tim Smith and Cameron Phelps.

He's keeps everything under wraps.

The club are consistent when they always say there will be no more signings. Then the right player comes along and they get him to autograph a contract.

They must be due to announce a raft of signings. They've only got about 9 players haven't they?

Tommy Lee and Tony Martin are meant to be 2 of the players they've signed.

If thats the case will we sign another forward? Probably someone from Wigan, it seems to be the trend.

There gonna need a raft of signings, at the minute I believe they only have 13 players for next year on the book's.

He'll be a good signing for them Bailey he'll do a solid job in either the centres or backrow as well as stiffening up there defense.

I'll be interested to see how Lee goes for them, Hull always bigged him up and he never really stood out for me, maybe away from the pressures of Hull he may succeed.

If every club could only sign players from there home town I've got a feeling we'd do quite well out of it compared to others.

Ricky Bibey i heard(well Leigh is really Wigan).

He's the fearless, aggressive prop forward we're missing.

Theres Only Wood i can think of whos a prop and a wiganer

He's a player i'd have loved us to sign a few years back but he's been plagued with injury over the past 3 or 4 years. It's a real shame as I thought his game was progressing very nicely.

The town of Wigan doesn't seem to have produced too many class props for a very long time.

It's true though. Wigan however have produced so many players for RL, it is something to be proud of wherever they are playing.

It's a weird one though isn't it that in all the time guys from Sam Tomkins era to Shaun Edwards era having been coming through the Wigan towns systems theres been very very few quality prop forwards make it.

The towns just too skillfull to produce mongy props

This is soon going to change though with some of the young players coming through and with someone like Wane in charge.

I've got high hopes for Ben Davies, hopefully he can turn into that aggressive enforcer we want.

Holland from what i watched in the GF is the enforcer

I never really hear much about Holland, I only saw 6 reserve game last year (I mean this year) and I don't know to much about the lad.

Is he expected to make it to the first team as well as Davies.

Neil Holland could be a very good player for Wigan in time. He certainly likes the physical side of the game. Does he have the pace? I'm not sure, but if you want a big hitter in defence he was certainly the best in the reserve league last season.

Holland was on that picture of the team training at Haigh Hall so maybe he's going to get a fulltime deal. Anybody have any idea?

I remember a Widnes fan saying he was signing for them.

He tackles everything that moves, he is an animal.

A one year loan deal I believe.
