I've not read all the replies to this but from the 1st page a few people seem to be classing all Warrington fans as scum and the worst in the league. ALL clubs have a small minority of idiots who like nothing more than to cause trouble.

Well get your owner to do something about the 1500 idiots young and old, male and female who stand in chav corner nearest the away stand, who were stood offering us out with gestures at the end of the game.

Watching the game again last night and I saw that the majority of Wire fans around the ground seemed to be males aged between 16-50, with a sprinkling of kids knocking about - no surprise really, I wouldn't want my kids in atmospheres like that every fortnight.

If your owner really wants the club to progress he could do with ejecting the idiots from Chav corner and concentrate on bringing families in from the more affluent areas in Warrington as opposed to the hellholes such as Orford and Landgate which are populated with Salford overspill.

Very sorry to hear the news Hogan and Yicker, on a slightly less extreme note (although it could of turned nasty) 2 fellas with black jackets come to stand at the back of the Wigan stand and starting pointing and staring at people, me and my mates included. One had a bald head and the other was stocky with brownish hair, both were in their 40s. They shouted come on Wire to provoke response and nobody said anything until a guy in an old style wigan shirt told him to fudge off to his own stand, the bald mate started to walk but the other fella reluctantly did too, but walked down the aisle cockily looking at everyone like he wanted to start (even pensioners), everyone then started to call them s, the point is there was a steward right next to it who hardly moved an inch apart from holding back the innocent Wigan fan. Whats the need in coming to back of the stand when they obviously ain't wigan fans.

All the stewards/pa annoucer say is keep off the yellow lines at all times

Then gone along the lines of a great game was ruined tonight by some idiot OUTSIDE the ground Pretending to be a rugby fan.

Why can't some people accept that there is a very good chance that this thug WAS at the match, as Hogan stated a few of the gang were wearing colours.

I know not all Wire fans are scum, I have some friends who support Wire, and they are decent people from nice families (Billinge Wire being one)

The Warrington club and police have major responsibility for what happened last night, your own fans on here have identified that as a trouble spot at previous games.

Why wasn't it policed or stewarded?

Sorry guys if my posts last night were a bit OTT.. It may have come across that it was all warrington fans, but that wasn't my intention, I was around town with my warrington friends yesterday/last night so I am well aware they are not all scumbags its was probably the few beers I had talking!!, but there definately needs to be a police presence near the train station as the scenes last night were disgraceful (Again)..

I can honestly say if I would of seen it happen I would of helped the Wigan fans I have no doubt the tvvat who did it is scum but we are not all scum and chavs but we do have a group of chavs who follow us.

I think next time there needs to maybe be a police escort, we play the Hull clubs alot of police are there.

My friend, i have thoughrely enjoyed my banter on previous threads with your good self but quite frankly on this thread you have been nothing short of a joke.

The stewards were pretty poor last night. When Warrington scored their last try a guy was singing and dancing and parading himself in front of us all to incite us to do something. Another guy walked past beforehand shouting 'outside' to anybody who was willing. Fortunately most Wiganers, myself included, told him to jog on and no incident occurred. The stewards didn't seem remotely bothered however.

I was fortunate enough not to need the train last night and for what it's worth I'm sorry that Hogan and Yicker had to go through such a traumatic ordeal. The whole atmosphere throughout the game felt hostile so trouble was inevitable, a police presence throughout the town is certainly needed.

I'll admit I do give certain hand gestures and sing songs like the W@nky Warrington tune but in such a emotionally charged atmosphere I feel it's banter (and not directed at one individual) but I leave it all behind when the game is done and can chat with opposition fans with no malice - Warrington's minority need to learn this, they aint big or hard.

On a lighter note the Three Pigeons pub after the game last night was great, a lot of decent Wire fans and a lot of banter and singing which was all good-natured, the way it should be.
