| Good to see positive action being taken against the club breaking covid protocol, it should be harsher but hey

| I suppose no great surprise that as far as I'm aware only 2 clubs have been docked points for covid related issues us & Fev. Amazed that with the number of SL games called off no club has faced any penalty. Bet Rimmer & his mates too scared to investigate for fear of having to do something. You won't convince me 2 teams playing in Challenge Cup final 1 week then both calling off games the following week due to covid haven't breached protocols in some way. There are none so blind as those that do not want to look (if I might paraphrase).

| We have not been docked any points for covid related issues. We were docked points for refusing to play a game.
Fev were docked for direct breaches of covid policy.

Splitting hairs NB. Perhaps you have a view on why no SL club has breached covid protocols, or should I say been caught, despite the large number of covid cancellations?

| Fine of £10,000 is a big hit for Featherstone, will they appeal?

| Problem they have is it seems a very public breach judging by what's on the Beeb. Having said that, there are lots of instances during pandemic of bigger breaches in terms of numbers attracting fines of £1000 or so. Maybe more like RFL trying to look tough & maybe deflect attention away from failings in SL.

No sure how the fine could have been greater, for example if Liverpool had been fined for their players breaking protocols for celebrating after winning the premier league then on an income ratio they would have been fined @£10 million. so for a club in the championship £10k is a very significant amount.

I hope we don't appeal, for me the club has done wrong in allowing this to happen and therefore the club should accept the consequences of these actions.

Don't you feel a little peeved though FG that SL teams are not being penalised or as far as we know not even investigated for covid breaches despite the number of cancelled games? Especially the Cup Final 2!

Not especially though I believe you could argue that the fine feels excessive. However the protocols are in place so that if a club has 7 or more players from the top 26 in a teams squad having to isolate due to Covid-19 they can supply that information to RFL and request a postponement of a game (which will mean in a lot of cases that games are not played at all). I have not seen any proof that these isolations have happened due to Covid-19 protocol breaches, if any of these can be proved then I would hope that any clubs would also receive punitive penalties.
However I do believe that London Broncos have the right to feel peeved, in that you were asked to fulfil a game in France when all the part-time teams did not have to fulfil the same fixture due to travel restrictions, which is still ongoing. In my opinion the RFL got this wrong and London should have been exempt from travelling to France also. Though I suppose that they did this to be consistent with the SL sides having to travel to France. Maybe DH should have declared the Broncos as a part-time team at the beginning of the season, even if you only had 1 part-time player in your squad.

I suppose unless an investigation takes place, we would never know if a breach took place. Given the way SL self interest mugged Leigh of their money at start of season I would not expect a SL club to hold their hands & go oops!
Broncos should have argued the point before the season started & at least argued the covid case when they were due to go & not the fairness issue then but we're used to numpty leadership here.
Some might argue a number of our players have played part time for some of this season anyway.
