| This bloke, drives me nuts. Sporadic moments of magic but overall left completely dissatisfied. The bloke can't and indeed won't tackle, he shys away from the high ball, he would rather put a hospital pass than take contact himself, he is a chicken. When it comes to putting bodies on the line, he goes missing. He has been wasting a chunk of our salary cap for years. Get rid. Today he was at his worst.

| The clanger he made in the corner looked from the stands due to him being whacked around the head or nose. I thought blood was dripping from his nose, but it was his mouthguard falling onto the floor.
We were weak under the high ball.

Far too many of them today, question is what if anything is Tony Rea going to do about it?

It is his job to get the best out of the players he has. If he can't do that then changing the players will make no difference. What you are saying is a bit like thinking a change of ground will result in more fans

| Nothing to do with changing grounds the plain facts are that some players in the current first team are just not good enough for SL and it does not matter which coach you put in front of them they will not change

| Don't be stupid, are we jumping back years? Dorn hasn't looked scared to take a tackle or make a tackle in awhile now. This is why I used to criticise the selection of him at SO, he has improved from that and doesn't look like such a rabbit caught in headlights any more. The rest of the team isn't the problem, Dorn was fine defensively in general.

You have got to be kidding - he bottles tackles more often than not, he clearly hates contact, he is the original journeyman Aussie. Granted the odd decent try but in my eyes, that in no ways up for the tries he has been directly responsible for. Awful.
And today he wasnt alone. I am struggling to think of one player who put his body on the line for the cause. Ineptitude across the pitch, lack of defensive line discipline and organisation, head in hands time. So many poor players, too many lightweight forwards, too many school boy errors.

Yet you're making a whole topic dedicated to Dorn? Where was the 1v1 tackle that he ran away from today? As I count him making one, him nearly intercepting the pass on a 2v1 and a couple where they got the pass away? I cannot remember where I'd blame him for any of it today. He made a hash of getting the ball at the end, but we can't concentrate on that as it was 60-6 by the time that happened. He isn't as much of a cop out as he used to be.

| Why? After being one slated as one of the slowest players on the pitch, only him and Dixon chased back when Tomkins did a quick tap and kick on the 20 metre restart. Where were the other players?

| To be honest you could vent your fury on almost all of them! I'm surprised Dorn has been singled out, he was far from being the worst today

| Regardless of how poorly or not Dorn played I am absolutely stunned that for a team that got belted by 64 to 6 that its the fullback who has been singled out.
We have a fairly second rate team and a second rate coach and todays result is the true difference in class between the two clubs. Occasionally we will play above ourselves and get a good result but generally we just aren't good enough all round particularly if we have a couple of our first team out.

| Dorn is not a great defender either technically or physically but he does show more energy and interest than most of the others. Like others have said, I actually think he's made an effort to be braver in contact.
Michael Witt was the worst on show yesterday. Kicked dead from a kick-off, failed to find touch with a penalty - 2 oppo tries. What's the response? Head down, hands on hips, feeling sorry for himself.

You mean the full-back/left centre that Tony Rea decided he would experiment with on the right wing? Poor lad got exposed but he continued to run the ball back with energy.

Very harsh, at least he showed some committment in tackling Richards and getting over the touch line on the 2nd half. If you want to get stuck into anyone some of our ( supposedly ) senior players would be a better place to do it.

| Yes, that was his redeeming point, especially Richards face when he was bowled out . Amazed at how Wigan attacked that massive gap between him & Howell in the 1st half. Terrible but only slightly better in the 2nd. Worst I've seen him play though.

| There's a collective malaise, but it was interesting to see the Wigan backs pushing around the London forwards, let alone the Wigan pack. Also seeing Young Mr Williams, on his super league debut showing more ability and knowledge than some of the former NRL superstars who wear the London shirt

| Willow made a point about the fact Wigan players appeared more physically developed. if you compare our team on the day against Wigan it is quite apparent. Tomkins is quite a slight size in rugby terms. Wigan can accommodate that at full back as he is protected to a degree i.e. not constantly targeted in the defensive line. He does what he needs to when required defensively and isn't too bad a tackler. Same with Luke Dorn, but we have rather more players that do not appear to have the physical size of their opposite numbers, Dixon, Witt and to a lesser extent Howell. You could add Sarginson but he didn't play. Any one you could accommodate but collectively, as has been outlined previously, it does weaken us defensively.
Yesterday it was collective failure rather than individuals. Plus I don't think we have an effective game plan.

| Dorn has always been a poor tackler, but to single him out is grossly unfair. Half our team avoid contact, that's one of the reasons we leak points.
And unlike some of the other weak tacklers, at least Dorn can create stuff with the ball in hand. Bear in mind he created and scored our only try.
