Along with these comments as well as the stuff on here and other forums, surely it is time for the club to act on the coaching issue?

We do have NRL premiership winning players in Gower, Robertson and Rodney (with 2 clubs). But Gower won his 9 years ago. I would suggest that he would still have the mind of a premiership winning half back, but not the speed. And being surrounded by ordinary players and probably having to continually marshall them, must be very frustrating for him.

If you dont have a cohesive defensive team pattern then you will get opened up-Thats the problem -Powell cant coach the defensive structure, he has neither the experience nor the understanding to implement this.

Yes of course you can blame the players who make the one on ones but if they are going for the wrong person, or there is an overlap etc it makes no difference.

The coach is responsible for the way the team plays. If then individuals dont have the skills they are coached into them or they are removed from the team

40+ points per game isnt one on one missed tackles. Its about a lack of structure

we blamed the coach a couple of years back, we got rid, he has gone off and won the grand final!
We have another coach, yep inexperienced and we want rid of him as well.

we have new "quality" players come in and they play like they have never touched a ball before

There is something much deeper wrong in the club than the coach!! Powell should not be blamed for missed tackles and crap technique. It basic rugby skills that we are lackign at the moment, and enthusiasm for the game

I'm afraid that its the owner, CEO, coach and players who are fault. Probably some other staff too. An omnishambles I believe.

But I've now decided not to go to games for the rest of this season - save for the Leeds game when I'm meeting some friends from there.

I've been fairly neutral on Powell but his excuses yesterday were both pathetic and insulting.

That's it WQ. Ultimately the coach is the one responsible. The buck always stops there. (No not the mascot).

I'm finding it increasingly hard to watch the team, right now I'm going to watch Skolars home games - plenty of effort and entertainment, but can't find the will to go to The Stoop, with it's despressing funereal atmosphere and the appalling pile of s***e that Powell serves us up. How in God's name can someone with his record remain in a job beggars belief.

Leeds was a completely different scenario-Thats was a Grand Final team- They had star players coming back at the right time who hit form when it matters.

Powell has a different set of players to what Mac had-Far far better

He was in a position to change the culture- He has neither the experience nor the personalty to do that.

spot on. Aren't we all sick and tired of saying this, given that we nearly all universally agree, yet the club management seem happy to ignore us?

Gower;

One of the few good things this year is Gower doing everything fast.

I think Gower is giving it a real go and is up to speed now. Unfortunately i think he is on his own too much.

As expected.....Facebook has been updated a number of times which has magically bumped all the negative comments out of sight....That's their job done for the day
