| ....3,091 average so far.......but down on the 3,433 for the corresponding fixtures in 2011.
Have to say I am bitterly disappointed with the attendances at the first 3 home games as the London Broncos v.2 and what makes this worse, is that this really was the last chance to make a decent first impression. 0ver 1,000 fans less than in 2011......it begs the question what has the rebrand achieved?
Regardless of the dire performances on the park (don't fool yourself that Castleford were anything other than worse than us), the club seem to have given up already......
ES adverts for the opener and then...er....um.....
We have no shirt sponsor......we have no local presence....we have no chance of getting anything near 4k for wakefield at the end of the month.............UNLESS!
No more F90(KIN9 around with the video recorder, but instead, get a group of volunteer fans to come to the stoop on the evening of March 29th and give them flyers and sections of the local community to door drop. Get the Cowgirls out at Twickenham Station and surrounding bars between 5.30 and 8.30 handing out flyers and encouraging advance ticket sales........fill the North Stand with School kids....even for a quid each.....but fill it.......
....and if need be, get TNT onside with a stupid offer for the criminal element to come along.........but for christs sake, don't give up........anyone connected with the club in a professional manner needs to work 16 hr days and make their fingers bleed from dialing out to get some traction for the next game....chances are we will be spanked by Wigan, but the team should be returning to the stoop on the back of a win....
Please Gus, Imi and everyone else at TW2 towers.....let's really push for a 5k + crowd at the wakey game where there will be a fair chance of a close game and even another win..........don't wait until the 25th...get planning NOW!
I suspect though we will see a mention in the paper and another sub 3k crowd.

| The London Broncos will continue to have these low gates until th issue of match day marketting is addressed.
Again i ask the question when are the club going to leaflet the houses in the area with who they they playing, when they are playing and KO time, with addmission prices?
When are the club going to ask local shops if they could put posters in their shop windows doing the same thing, and giving the shop owners 2 free tickets for that game/s?

In one form or another I have been asking this since 2000........I really don't undestand the refusal to try something that would cost nothing and AGAIN, I find myself thinking it is down to laziness, a lack of understanding of exactly who we are and what's on offer and a total refusal to do anything that involves working (as in manual work) outside office hours.
I am bl00dy annoyed if truth be known.......I accepted the clubs stance on what they were attempting but regardless of the crap on the park, the crap off it seems to have changed not one tiny bit.
If David Hughes is walking away in 2 and a half years. then god help the club and its long suffering fans........I am 12,000 miles away and I am prepared to stay up until 2am a few nights to help out if needed on the phones or organising things, but I somehow doubt the current back office team are in the office past 5.05pm Monday to Friday.......and if they are, can I suggest they get of F()ckin9 facebook and do some proper work!

| It seems to me that the club have several development staff and players on the payroll, they could spend an hour leafleting and going round the pubs pushing the club. They must be made aware that if the club goes t*ts up they will be out of a job!

| Basic promotion of Broncos should be quite effective with a few man hours by just using the local media, educational links particularly, visiting local business, ST holders networks, having a womens and girls section and handing out posters/flyers/club information. Even putting the leaflets under car/van windscreen wipers is very effective as folks tend to leave stuff like that in the car as opposed to chucking it straight into the recycling bin if leafleted through a letterbox. And The Cowgirls out down the high street (and/or outside Twickenham station as suggested) the day prior to a home match day should turn a few heads & raise some interest too. Simples.

| With crowds this poor, nothing to lose. Put two tickets and leaflet through every door in walking distance with note saying if you don't want to use it pass it on! Give it a 0 value so they can't sell it and fill both ends with these?

| I agree 100% with gf here. Do the donkey work, all failing businesses need to do it. Nag people, flyer, get on the streets and the phones. YouTube and Facebook and twitter are great for keeping existing fans informed but are not serious marketing tools. Stop nobbing about and get yourselves out there! I don't bring new people to games like yesterday's cos they see 2k there and don't want to come back. Sort it. 5k is not difficult to achieve when you have about 10 million to work with.

Did you use to go to the Stoop in the late 90s GF?
It's just that our average attendance back in 1999 was 2,805. And that was the year we made the Challenge Cup Final!!! 1598 was the lowest attendance against Whitehaven in the Challenge Cup that year. I actually remember that now as it was when all our northern monkey friends from Cumbria were in the bar, somewhat drunk, singing "You all wish you were Northern"
That figure is a bit interesting as it's lower than over the last several years. Playing at the Valley had better figures and even going back there appears to have better figures than the Stoop. In fact, bar the first year at the Stoop in which was when we had our best year, after that it's always been a bit naff for attendances.

| It's great that we're still passionate about it, but the club's attendances are never going to take off in Super League. None of these ideas will move the dial enough to make a difference unfortunately (that's not criticising anyone for their ideas or in putting them forward). Everything has been tried over 15 years, and it's just inefficient to spend money to keep repeating it.
Winning would help, traveling opposition helps, cheaper prices help (in numbers, not revenue). Re-branding, moving games, changing stands, moving days and times don't help.
The sport needs to boom before our crowds are going to.
Some things just don't sell, and our team and game is one of them unfortunately.
I wouldn't even announce the crowd anymore. Just give us a good rugby team for more than 6 games a year.

Not the full story, the average at The Valley in 2000 and 2001 was worse than that at Stoop in 1997 and 1998, but was better than that at The Stoop in 1999 (as you point out).
If you analyse the data, the location itself has had no noticable effect on our crowds.

| You are absolutely correct. Apart from the first season and a bit as Fulham, our crowds have generally been around the 3,000 mark.

After our s**t performances to date I don't think marketing would have achieved anything for this game. Even the hard core on this forum were saying this game could be their last if they didn't perform - what do you expect from the casual supporter?
Now, a decent performance against Wigan, beat Widnes convincingly and use your marketing money for the Wakefield game and we could get a decent crowd on the back of it.

If David Hughes is walking away in 2 and a half years.'"
I just hope we have that long left. I can't see why David would want to go beyond this season if things don't pick up both on and off the pitch. He has gone for it in terms of the playing budget and reverted back to the Broncos name thus appeasing the alleged thousands who won't watch an RL team called Harlequins. His reward, largely trash on the pitch, one crowd officially sub 2000 and what can be described as a poor gate v Cas irrespective of whether we believe it was sub 1000, sub 2000 or the officially declared gate. We have no shirt sponsor and seem to be doing less business in terms of the corporate boxes etc than we did last year. We're playing one game miles from London for reasons no-one really seems to have explained presumably lobbing a fair few more grand down the toilet for ground hire in Gillingham. (I accept the Orient game seems worth it on the basis lots of people seem to think there is a latent RL support in East London, I doubt it but we may as well find out as we have precious little to lose now.)
It seems reasonable to presume that David is likely to be exposed to a seven figure loss this year. This year was supposed to be the rebirth, to date it has gone horribly flat. Two more years of throwing money away or walk away. The latter must be mighty mighty tempting right now.
Also if anyone from the club is reading................ after telling season ticket holder to go to the ticket booth and swop out the Orient tickets, a poster up saying they hadn't arrived yet might have been useful. It certainly would have saved the poor woman working there from a less than pleasant outburst from one of our season ticket holders whilst I was queueing to try and swop out said tickets.

| Agree about the absence of Leyton Orient tickets. As you say, a notice would have helped. And then there's the website, twitter and Facebook which they seem keen for them and us to use. Still await an apology and explanation on any of their various "communication" channels. (And it was not I who gave the nice lady at the window an undeserved mouthful.)
On the subject of DH, I'm not sure that he has said he'll walk after 3 years, but I'll stand corrected if I'm wrong. What I thought he said was that he was committed to another 3 years, implying, to my understanding, that he'd review it at the end of the period. Obviously, if the off-pitch results don't show a marked improvement, then he will be gone.

| I don't think David has ever said he will walk at the end of this licence period however he has made it clear that he is heading towards retirement. I think that can be taken as a hint that he's not going to be able to single handedly fund us going forward. I suspect he'd be willing to stick around if others take a share of the burden off his shoulders.

My U16 Broncos season ticket holder is playing his first season of union with a local club only as there isn't any RL junior teams up here that are close enough. Their opponents today was the U13 'B' squad Old Albanian RFC (funnily enough St Albans Centurions is our closest RL club with a junior squad). Anyway, enough about that... as the striking thing is that even their U13 'B' team has a shirt sponsor and the sponsor is LEXUS. I couldn't believe it when I saw it!!!
