An example that the RFL are aiming upwards and that they are serious about promoting the game in the capital. Well I'm hopeful that they can make it known to the general public that two of the best rugby sides of either code will be in London in October and they will be at the defacto home of rugby league and not right next to the home of rugby union.
The RFL have six months to get this one sorted and show the likes of Kyle Eastmond that there is a real international game that is capable of filling proper stadiums.

If its marketed well and realistically priced( maybe some combined rail / match ticket or match ticket / overnight accomodation deals?) we could put a good sized gate on at Wembley. Lots of ANZACS in London, didn't about 12-13,000 turn up at the Stoop for the 4 nations match last time? Market it well around their West London haunts, advertise on the tube, bus etc... and this could not only be a great spectacle but a chance to start to build up momentum for Rugby League in the run up to the 2013 World Cup!

Speaking personally, I would have much preferred Aus v NZ and England v Wales. One top quality competitive game, and a chance to send the locals home happy. Or am I being greedy?

Great news. The RFL must advertise it properly though, not just to the northerners who might come (as they did for the Magic Weekend) and also not just to TNT readers and the ANZACs, but the whole of London. Tube advertisements, Buses, Standard, Metro, Sport etc. It needs to become an event. It will also help promote awarness of RL in London, which would be a Godsend for us.
I will be going. Great to see international RL back in the capital (where it belongs!)

Wigan marketed their Big Game against Warrington on TV, does anyone know how much it would cost to advertise on London TV, a 30 second advert done by a professional company featuring HD quality features of the likes of Sam Tomkins, Benji Marshall, Lee Briers and Jarryd Hayne would surely make people aware of the game, the quality on show and possible incentives for booking early.
We should be using every media avenue available, but from the outside TV seems the most expensive way to market, hope it will happen.
