| I enjoyed Friday night. NO Giants fans.( Sorry for the 100 who made the trip) Now the northern hordes cannot mock our following every week. Maybe this could be a regular slot or fans want daytime fixturesa home.

As I have said elsewhere......Friday evenings are an experiment that must be go=iven a chance. Appreciate that it's a pain for some and it will hit the "away" support, but if the club want to get "locals" through the gate, then having games that don't clash with wendyball or k&c will help.
Summer, when the others are in their off season is the time for sat/sunday games...

| The advantage with a Fri night is it means lots of folk will generally go straight from work, then after the game on Fri night thats it the rest of the weekend is free to do whatever
Saturdays, those who play the wonderful game have the choice, play or watch, same for those with kids who play, take the kids to play in the junior league and then try and get to the home game, so Saturdays early eve has to be best option, Sunday, well i was brought up on going to the extremes of the RL world M62/and Cumbria in those days or down at Wigginton road, then again it was winter.
Take the away fans out of the equation! Fri night could work
but whichever day we like the club dont listen so we will go with what they give us eh?

| Don't forget that there is a loyal band of followers who, like me, have to travel some distance to get to The Stoop. Fridays can be a nightmare! Driving means tackling the M25/ London roads during rush hour while travelling by train is impossible because I can't get one home because it's too late in the evening! Also, it is gfar too late for my 9-year-old son, considering that we are not home until after midnight!
You should always arrange events to the maximum convenience of the majority of fans and I hope in years to come that people who like me travel 100+ miles (round trip!) will become a small minority because we are attracting so much local support. As it is, we fans that travel far make up a more significant minority and Friday night games considering a crowd average should be a non-starter.
No more Friday night games until our support is at least 5-6000!

Spot on, for all the reasons you outline.

| scotquin!!! round trip 100 miles pah!! thats nothing you are a local.
There are a few of us that do 100 each way!
If I had the choice to be honest I would go for 5-30 Sat nights but like I say the club dont actually listen that much to what the fans want
Last Fri was Sky driven though rememeber, not the clubs choice, made sense as they had half the cams there already from the night before
15th april against cas is likely on Sky again me thinks and the following week is good fri, rest of the games on Sat i think so the discussion is done as far as the club are concerned

Or perhaps not all fans want 5.30 Saturday evenings? (I certainly don't.)
This club won't get anywhere by tailoring matchdays to the existing couple of thousand regulars. Most of the people we should be worrying about aren't even following the club on a regular basis yet.

| Leaving my own preferences aside, a definite match day and kick off time needs to be set . A few times a season this time will be dicked about with by Sky, and it may have to be modified if we have a double header with Skolars again but apart from these exceptions surely it would be best to have a set kick off time. Looking at our fixture list so far our home games seem to be all over the place time wise.
For most of us, getting to the Stoop requires a bit of time and planning (to avoid rail closures, roadworks etc..) For some its not that much more hassle to go to away matches !If we had a big enough local support then Friday evening under the lights would be great - but as it is we don't and don't look likely to in the forseeable future.
So set a match day and a match time - and stick with it! Leave the dicking about to Sky, they're the experts!

This would probably rule out Saturday afternoon or evenings as a fixed slot due to events over the road. Which realistically only leaves Sunday afternoons.

| ......I know it's hard to fathom for some, but it would be impossible to please every single fan of Harlequins RL all of the time.
Fridays: This is an experiment IMO. It is designed to see if we get many "walk up" after work fans to games...people who may well have other plans for Saturday/Sunday like soccer, Rugby Union etc..... Yo be honest, it is a big risk as it does come with the hassle for the "bread'n'butter" fans who live across town either getting home at stupid o'clock or just not bothering, but it has to be tried IMO.
Saturdays: Well documented....Amateur games, soccer, Union, events over the road.....etc...etc...as it stands, I believ Saturdays are a non starter. 3pm and you're head to head with all the other sports....5.30 and there's still other sports on and the added draw of a live SKY SL game to watch if you're a northern expat living in London.
Sunday: IMO, the best day, with a 3pm KO. Plenty of time for a few sherberts after the game and to get home without it already being Monday Morning.....and the only downside being the apparently constant repairs to train lines buggering up transport.
So, if it were up to me......which it isn't......
February to Late May....home games on Friday nights.
June to September (October for the play-offs) Sunday at 3pm.
