Hmmm, your point just seemed to consist of publically humiliating someone because their ideas weren't properly costed.

What I was pointing out was that raising awareness [ican [/ibe done very succesfully without spending much money. You knock the "viral" videos but done well they can be very effective. The problem is ours have not been done well so no one would really want to watch them. Viral (by definition) requires people to pass links on. The club haven't produced "viral" videos, what they have produced is bad videos which no one wants to watch.

Best videos the club produced were the Predator and Alien ones with Jonny G a few years back

Photoshop pays for itself if you have someone with the know how to use the programme. Its about £80 a year, isn't it? Hardly bank breaking.

Also, if you believe that advertising in the local rag in Twickenham and whatever areas it covers would be [ithat[/i expensive, you are horrendously incorrect.

These are the people that should be targeted, the locals. Not the big wigs in the city, nor plastering advertising across the city, for these people live anything between 0.1 miles to 10 miles away from the Stoop.

The current flock of supporters on here, however mad looking and totally negative, seem to travel from all over to watch the side but these people have either a natural interest in the game (like wire quin, seeing as he was presumably born near Warrington), travelled across London for years to watch the numerous sides (I imagine there's a few of them here) or are just generally happy to travel that distance. Sadly, not many will travel across London to get to a ground that's poorly connected by transport, so the locals have to be targeted.

A half page advertisement the week of the upcoming home game will set the club back very little, having just had a look online. Or even a quarter page, its hardly millions.

Should be a wrap every preseason with full fixture list. Followed up by full page and quarter page ads throughout the year.

Not with the goal of one of increases but to steadily build awareness and interest which - in time turns to increased attendances.

I am a professional in the field...........force feeding numbers prior to a campaign ensures that money is accounted for and success or failure can be quantified......You spout bollox regarding the Manchester City Poster that generated millions of pounds of interest and coverage because it was a dig at the most successful english soccer club of all time.......I actually should have said irrelevant bollox

The twickenham rag is not as expensive as the other publications you mentioned...I never said it was, but the fact remains it is still an expensive route to market with no assurances that after design and production costs, together with paying about 2 grand, you will get any ROI.

As I said up top, I do this for a living over here.........I get my clients the maximum ROI for the minimum spend. This involves small spends, which in turn gives me a small margin, but it also gets me repeat business.....which brings me back to....

Its quite depressing that the previous poster probably has a greater interest and understanding in what needs to happen to make our club viable than anyone currently employed by London Broncos. Or anyone in the UK for that matter.

Man City poster - Anyone with half an interest in Sport as a whole has probably seen that poster, so to put a twist to it will get people taking a second glance at it. Place it in pubs, the majority of people in pubs are blokes. Most blokes like sport. They'll look at it.

Photoshop isn't [ithat[/i hard to use. It took me about a week of playing around with it before I got the hang of it. Hardly the most time consuming project rather than shoving a camera in someones face for a viral video that didn't work the first time it was used.

The Twickenham local rag is relatively cheap. Trust me, I work in that field. Thousands isn't the case per week, far from it actually.

I repeat, the city poster was a one off...it was unique to Manchester, it was very clever and it has no place being discussed here.......250k for a bollboard on the M4 is slightly out of reach.


London Broncos RLFC are a professional sports outfit......any posters or other promotional items produced should be done so professionally.....not with a bag of crayola or photoshop.

Opinions are like @rseholes pal...we all have one. I am just happy my clients seem to agree with mine.....as does the target audience who respond to the DM work I do....


Regardless of what you chose to believe, I was met by the RFL in a London Hotel on the eve of the Challenge Cup in 2004 and was asked if I would work promoting the game and the club in particular....the money on the table wasn't enough. I have nothing to gain by "creating" this event.



Good for them...unfortunately for you, this is the London Broncos Board and it is where fans of the London Broncos meet up.....skolars is a few scrolls down!
