| I am not happy with Randall at 7 as he is not creative enough. He should go back to rotating with Ellis which is much better for both. We've signed Mellor so we should play him as he must be more creative than Randall and as for Jeffries there is no way we should sign any player who doesnt want to be here, especially playing in a key position.

Ellis isn't a scrum half either, so I don't want him there. What is this fascination with sticking our hookers in the halves? No other teams do it.

I think you've misinterpreted - Snoopy is advocating rotating Ellis & Randall at 9 as I read it

People have suggested Ellis at 7 before and I automatically steamed in.
Apologies, Snoopy.

Correct. Ellis was struggling towards the end of the Catalans game but rotating with Randall at Hooker would get the best out of them both.
If Mellor is a real talent as we are told them get him in at SH where some creativity and initiative is needed - isnt that why he is here??

| In that case we should go for Rinaldi. He could provide the zip that we need if Jeffries don't fancy the best city in the world.

I now have an image of Ben Jeffries barricaded in a bedroom in Wakefield, attacking the administrators like "Yosser Hughes" in "Boys from the Blackstuff" as they attempt to forcibly remove him and take him to London..

| Thought Rinaldi was good at Cardiff, and liked him at quins before, but we have cover in his position. What about King? He's big and had a reputation (once)

| Rinaldi is more of a 7 than Randall....plus Rinaldi started at 7 before being sent to the 9 shirt....so could play there.
I agree that we need a nasty prop....and heck, we do miss Danny Williams! He wasn't the biggest guy...but he had that bulldog mentality that just led the way. Paul King wouldn't be a bad signing I guess...at this stage of the season, probably isn't much better out there.

Agree about Julian being more of a 7 than Chad - remember him being pretty effective coming off the bench as well when he was with us. I know Mrs from Erith would be keen to see him back!!

| I think that Rinaldi would be a great signing for us to be honest, he would give us something different in attack. However we do need a prop more than another back.

| By the sounds of the reports Wakefield won't be losing anymore players....so Jeffries and Rinaldi I guess will stay put.
Now......onto the search for the angry prop!

| Gone to Bradford on an 18-month deal, guess saves him looking for a new Super League club at the end of the year, but should we have been interested in him given that he is off quota after living in the UK for the last nine years and a proven stand-off or scrum-half.
Dan Sarginson made his debut and in many eyes is the future of this club, but is still a teenager and has the London club with only one specialist half in the squad, one teenager on exam leave, an individualistic stand-off now established at full-back and a hooker making a ham-fisted attempt at the scrum-half role.
I would have been interested, but he's gone now, let's just hope injuries come for Luke Gale and co.

We did not replace Danny Orr in the summer, we did not replace Joe Mellor when recalled by Wigan, we have a teenage prodigy who is doing his A-levels, a former stand-off who is a better attacking fullback, an erratic, but sometimes quite brilliant stand-off in Luke Gale and a hooker playing at scrum-half.
I do worry for when injuries do hit, and they will hit. I get the feeling our contingency plan is to move Luke Dorn or Rob Purdham to stand-off if there are injuries, and they themselves injured at the minute.
As I said I hope we get through to the end of Dan Sarginsons exams without injuries to our playmakers as I don't like the idea of Chris Melling at stand-off again.
