Rob Powell was badly undermined a player who was effectively acting as an unofficial player coach from what I hear. If true, Rob should have been backed or bulleted. He was left in an impossible position by the powers to be doing neither for far too long.
Talking to people who played under Powell. They have all said he could coach. One thing that was mentioned was that after the successful start to that season, everyone was confident. What then happened was that we got smashed and he started to hold crisis meetings etc. etc. He then lost his way.
People who also played under McDermott said he was a good coach. I listen to them tbh.
Gutters that is the best reply I have seen from you in ages 49 games and our win ratio was X take away those wins and it's much much worse.
And did I actually say this made him the coach of coach of coaches I simply highlighted that Rob was facing a similar problem that Joe has ok maybe not as bad, but still hampered by the tools he had to work with.
I just find it interesting that we turned on Rob pretty quickly just wondering how long before Joe gets the same treatment.
Got to go back to those stats tho, brilliant mate just brilliant
