U19’s won 38-0 c Warrington today to go fourth in league

Yeah great result for them and they certainly look a force now they have got players back.

Its going to be between Giants, Widnes and Bradford for that fourth spot. Bradford had a great win over Leeds on Thursday night which has put them in a good position but they still have to play Wigan, St Helens, Hull and us which are 4 very tough fixtures.

If we are to make the 4 we need to beat both Widnes and Bradford in my opinion which is also going to be very difficult but we are capable of it.

why dont the club get the highlights on the website?????

Widnes and Bradford will be the key games as they will be big four point games for the lads. Both away too- so tough ones. Were well beaten by Bradford last time (although score was closer than that would suggest as we scored a couple late on) as they have a huge side comparatively and we didn’t cope well with the physicality.

Video means teams can Gen up easily. Perhaps something to do with why they aren’t published.

Teams get the footage from other clubs or rfl, no secrecy pact, Leeds always have highlights of their 19’s, bulls steam their 19’s on Facebook

The club have done much better this year in promoting the academy games with previews and match reactions posted on the Giants website. Would love to see some highlights videos as don't live in Hudds do difficult to get to u19 games especially as I work weekends.
Huge praise to kelly and robbo for the work they have done and thorman before to get a true conveyor belt of talent in place wwith a genuine pathway to SL established. Giants will benefit from this for years to come and look forward to seeing a fair few of the academy lads progress. A real turnaround that seems to have been pretty quickly created - defo the right way to go and ensure we always have a few home grown players in the first team for the fans to give even more support to given they are "one of our own".

Yeah. Very good win and really keeps the pressure on Widnes and Bradford.

We need to hope St Helens beat Bradford on Friday.

Regarding Dom Young, how old is he? Hasn't he got 2 more years at U19 level after this? I'm sure they will be working hard to improve his defence!

Problem is he doesn’t look interested in defending, think with likes of Rhys Greenhall coming up next year he could be overtaken and year after that at least another 3 in his position

Dom Young turns 17 this month I believe so plenty of time for him to improve his alround game

You may be right and I hope you are but haven’t seen any improvement in his defence all year if anything it’s got worse, have a feeling he will do what his brother did and decide it’s not for him

Wingers are not usually known for their defence- look at Jerry- certainly the weakest part of his game now.

???? I do support our youngsters. I don’t think either is ready for full time SL just yet. They have their strengths and weaknesses but I’ve not written off a 17 year old!
