Surprised this hasn't been mentioned elsewhere but following the send off yesterday a senior Giants fan decided to vent his anger at the Salford bench.

Following various words being exchanged and finger pointing a water bottle and water was, lets just say again exchanged between both parties before the head steward lead the supporter back to his seat. All a bit like handbags in the end but raised a smile from an otherwise shocking afternoon.

The reason the senior giant was venting his anger at the Salford bench was perhaps because he was pointing out that the player sent off should have gone straight down the tunnel!!!!!
Koukash was an embarrassment yesterday- about as much class as that young lass in Spain who's video is doing the rounds. Money but zero dignity. The classic "don't you know who I am" ...priceless.

I am not saying saying the guy was wrong, I actually applauded him and fair play to him. As has been mentioned elsewhere Tommy Lee applauding a team mate for injuring an opposition player was unacceptable.

Completely agree! Liked the Salford fans yesterday until they chanted the name of te player! I thought that was completely disrespectful and it didn't go down well where I was sat!

I aint no saint / prude /or vicars son but for the youngsters / kids and some of the older fans it was completely disgusting and totally out of order IMO !

I could understand how pleased they were --and even gloating and digs are fine in my book --but it went far beyond the mark and stewarding hadnt a look in!

And we never applauded Luke O' Donnell or Keith Mason when they got carded.

You support your team when on the pitch afterwards you can call them a disgrace.

If i'd have been a Salford fan I would've applauded him too. He killed our chance of winning the game. As others have said, one of our lot should have come across and cleaned his clock for that. I still can't believe we let someone come into our backyard, assault one of our players and we did nothing about it.

Happened right in front of me. Hock gave the old guy a right foul mouthful before squirting him with water. Real tough from hock.

It's sad our pack didn't have the pensioners attitude and steel.

Old guy was ok about it in the car park later as people were congratulating him.

Stewards appear a long time after the incident btw...

Papers are reporting a hudds fan threw a bottle and hock retaliated.

Wasn't really close enough to hear all that, but if that's true then no it's not ok!

I saw this from the BR rescue stand, saw the Giants fan remonstrating with the Salford bench, then saw one of them squirt/throw water at him and what looked like him throwing something back....all seemed to die down pretty quickly though.

Unfortunately (for me) I couldn't make the game yesterday so can't comment on the incident in question. However I do feel for any home fans if they were sat near some of the traveling support. I watched us play Widnes away earlier in the season and to say the antics and language of some supporters was unacceptable would be an understatement. Strangely it is often from adults who are old enough to know better - I can think of a handful of middle aged women whose language is absolutely vulgar. Luckily I hadn't taken my boys to Widnes.

Apologies to anyone who was offended yesterday - as you can appreciate, we aren't all like that.

Seems like 'accidentally' assaulting a referree is more serious than swearing aggressively at an OAP And squirting water at them.

If that's what he did, justice has not been served. The old lad should have got the police involved. It's a straight up assault if the water hit him.
