| We really need to back up with a good performance next week.
Home games are more important than away games we need the home fans to come and spend money simple as. If we are winning and playing well that will bring them back in every week.
Do not underestimate London though. With Tony Rea as their coach( as we saw at the end of last season) they are not go to be whipping boys like they once were.
In training this week i would like to see Leroy and Grixy have a place kicking competition to see who is going to be the most EFFECTIVE back up to Brough.
Big issue is whether Brough is OK. If there is any doubt he should not play. Hamstrings are a nightmare look at the problems faalogo had.
I would rather lose a couple of games and have Brough back when he is OK.
Wonder if Taai will play a part or will be saved for later.
Personally i would go with the same team.
Big issue is how Fielden can be rested. I would have thought he might play two games in three. I wonder if he might be rested and then brought back as an angry man for the Wigan game?
Im not even sure Baloo would be able to tell him he is being rested.

| Key is keeping feet firmly on the ground. If you get the chance to rewatch the Saints game, we were good rather than brilliant.
Saints game plan was poor, and strangely familiar, trying to throw the ball about and run the legs off a bigger pack, no plan B and panic ensuing.
First half we got on top physically and scored three good but simple trys. Second half an excellent build up and final pass for the George try then all very simple stuff and taking advantage of Saints desperation.
Truth is we were good, you can only play who is in front of you and 40-4 away to any super league team is good, but I recall a couple of similarly dominant wins for Hull KR last season, where we were the panic ridden team with no plan B and no clue.
I think saturday's match was more of a concern for Saints than proof that we are contenders. We should enjoy the moment but keep feet firmly on the ground.

| I would probably bring in Mullally to replace Fielden and give the big guy a rest so he has recovered and is ready for the Wigan game
And i know this is harsh but if Ta'ai is here Monday/Tuesday i would put him in instead of cording because if Luke O Donnell is to leave for Sydney i would want Ta'ai ready with some game time under his belt for the Wigan game the week after

| After round 1 with a good away following we put in a very good performance.
Round 2, first game at home we MUST MUST MUST back that up.
But they guys looked relaxed, confident in each other and boy did those forwards work well together and spread the workload out!

| Durham - according to Anderson brough was taken off as a precaution with a tight back- if it is a hamstring then I'm not happy about the giants fans being fed a line along with the rest of SL.
I'd definitely play fielden against Wigan- he will be hungry to prove a point - and I'd put Ta'ai in to square up to kaufusi.
As for LOD - Anderson will make the decision based on the truth of what he's told the club.
Rea's side will not be a pushover, feet on ground time.

| no good winning at saints then not backing it up versus london..
they will be an improved team this year i think under rea and will target the start of the season to do well.
we always seem to hammer them at home though dont we?!?!
should be a decent enough crowd over 6k, everyone who went to saints will turn up and a few others off of the back of saints performance on sky.
as for brough is a back problem, he had it last season too, might be another player we need to keep a very close eye on and not irritate it more im afraid
taai could poss come in but still dont think hes arrived yet and would be abit unfair on cording/ferguson and fairbank if he was to come straight in.
if fielden is to be rested then mullally can come in no probs.
giantdee says st helens had no PLAN B!!!! hello they are now coached by nathan brown who never has a plan b if things are going wrong.
odonnel going nowhere for the time being anyway, a long way off any sort of deal going through.

| Not sure about resting Fielden this early, only his 3rd SL game in two years, I think at this stage games under the belt may be what he needs. Anderson did say something to that effect after the Widnes match. I do think the time will come to rest him, but not just yet.
I do suspect Mulally will come in as part of a rotation but think it will be for either Larne or Cording. I also noticed that Larne had a short spell in second row yesterday, which was interesting.
As for Nathan and lack of plan B, I was rather enjoying that for the first time yesterday

Said on Telly Hamstring and when he came off he had a huge icepack on the back of his leg / thigh so seemed like hamstring

| Went to London match today. They were very disappointing and bullied through the middle a little. Apart from Kaufusi and Wheeldon quite small. They will be desperate for a win but we could overpower them. Hope so anyway. Grower went off injured in first half.

Good away following? There were plenty of Saints fans in that away stand and it was still very empty.

| More of the same I suppose will be the order of the day.Supposedly weaker opposition on Sunday,so should be a win.The old cliche, have to keep their feet on the ground, play as a unit.
Maintaining the high standard over a long season will not be easy but that's got to be the aim. That performance will have certainly rung the alarms of opposition coaches who will know what to expect from us now, especially Shaun Wane.
Must disagree with the comment above that our tries last Friday were simple. The first one was top class play,Jon Wells commented on it,Robbo stood open, moved blind in a flash, great line from Chan back towards the ruck got Luke on the outside of the StH defender, then quick hands and a great finish from Jez.
Second try,two excellent 'wins' by Fielden & Kopczak and nice short pass from Brough to Ferres who was probably a front runner in that play.
Hoping for more of that standard on Sunday personally,as simple as that.
