Fwiw you cannot enter the ground from the Catherine St entrance and anybody wanting to use Cats bar or the flats or stand in chavs corner have to pass the giants fans standing on the western terrace, never heard of any trouble with Giants fans' ever, funny that there is only you what has seen them causing trying to cause trouble, though I suspect there will be others that all of a sudden remember too, maybe you dream't it.

Catalans and London excluded, weren't you the first club Wigan refused to open the away stand for, on account of the lack of away support from your fans'

It's only ever escalated once, every other time bar yesterday for some reason they appear and walk through(rather than on the walkway in front) or stand in among the Giants fans trying to get it to kick off.

Obviosuly your club have no history of trouble at any of their games so it cannot be true !!, even your own previous chairman acknowledged they had an issue with certain 'supporters'.

They are usually there at the corner of the "sheds" trying to wind up fans- the fact you have never heard about any trouble with giants fans says more about our fans than those prats- obviously Cas and widnes fans are more readily goaded by the idiots. Daz is right- it's only kicked off once that I remember at the end of the game they took exception to losing, I was stood by the entrance waiting for my other half - they had left but came BACK into the ground and started on some young 16-17 year old kid who was rather loud in his celebrations- when his mum took exception to this the big men decided to physically assault a woman- funnily enough they turned tail and legged it when other giants came to her aid.

Yes they didn't open the stand once- Giants were sent to sit in one area - then the stewards crapped themselves when they realised there were a lot more of us than they thought and we insisting on all sitting together which meant they had to deal with some very irate wigan fans who had to sit in seats with poor views. That was funny- stewards almost as good as yours- funnily enough they always open it now.

Are RL players the only people that take degrees part time? It is obvious a degree done part time would take longer than doing it full time so I don't know what point you're trying to make there. A rugby league player has a lot more free time to study than someone working 35hrs a week in another profession, which I assume you did seeing as you've stated you have a degree. Does the fact someone is a professional sportsmen mean that his sacrifices are somehow bigger or greater than someone else's? Are professional sportsmen the only people that have to work weekends? The answer to those two questions is no. Eorl can state a preference all he likes but the "sacrifices" he makes alluding to his profession are by no means unique to his profession, no ridiculous hardship and certainly more than recompensed by the money that he earns and the elevated status he enjoys. That is my point. That and the fact he goes shooting on a Sunday, has whined about missing it on tw4tter and that's what he's really bothered about IMO!

You only have to listen to the post match interviews for it to be patently obvious some of these lads aren't cut out for the world of education. That's not a criticism, it's just the way it is. There are plenty of non-professional sportsmen not cut out for university either. I've met various pros over the years. Some of them very well spoken, intelligent people. Some not so intelligent but absolutely cracking people. Some absolute dilberts who probably can't spell their own names and have attitudes like they're the best thing since sliced bread. Again, not unique to the realms of professional sport. Just life in general.

You stick up for the players as a reflex action. They're just people you know and as flawed as anyone else.

Think you could both be right and I be wrong- the hock incident was I think in the game that started our good run away at wigan- the Mason incident was later but I think was the one where we were sat amongst the wigan fans.

The hock incident was 2008 and I think it was David hosgsons first game for the Giants, and was our first away win of the season

Just on the topic of our away support on Sunday, both the WAKEY chairmen mentioned how good of a following it was, as did the WAKEY supporters association from the North stand who said we had 'brilliant support'. Thought it was nice to get a rare compliment regarding our support hopefully we can drag the 'floating voters' over to Warrington and show them how good away days are!

Unfortunately I don't think the floating supporters will fancy the Friday night carpark - also known as the m62.
