When I started reading this topic I thought poor Huddersfield (with a very wry smile on my face) then within a few seconds I thought what a disgrace. If he had been coming over with his wife and her mother and her aunty and 2 cousins and 6 kids they would of got benefits and a house as soon as their boat docked, but seen as though he's coming to work and contribute it has to be made very difficult to come in the country.

You know, these days I come on here and promote the Heritage website and occasionally comment about something else. It seems from behind my blinkers that when I do post, I get slagged off.

I have no inside information at all. My source is the same that is available to everyone else - I ring up and ask the club.

Problem is every man and his dog claims to have some secret hotline to the club, not everyone can since the info they are giving is always so contradictory

BUT if we did not have rumours and posters talking b@ll@cks what would we all do during the off season when there is no rugby to talk about!!!

confirmed on the website hes been granted a visa and just waiting for his passport now to jump on the plane... here this week

So it was politicians pulling strings in the background that got the visa sorted,but not Baz Sheepman.It was Holme Valley MP Jason McCartney and All Parliamentary Rugby League Group secretary Mark Ramsdale who prevented a further delay in the application.

Must thank the tory boy macca,as he is first and foremost a big Huddersfield Town fan.

How come nothing was being done until Barry Sheerman was contacted?It was he who took this business on.I have no recollection of any other MP but Barry Sheerman doing anything about the visa problems suffered by RL players.Barry was the man who passed on the complaint to the Foreign Office,up until that point I have heard nothing in relation to the problem from any other MP.
I must say though, that whoever if anyone did help, well done. Although I find it strange how Ukumas' visa etc was granted so quickly after Barry passed it on to the FO.
Never trusted MPs anyway especially the Tories.

and all of the above on the back of false information from some unknown source who apparently is the fountain of all knowledge. This is then backed up by other members jumping on the bandwagon of hearing the same story from the bloke who goes in same butchers as theirs wifes sisters 2nd cousin., but were too afraid to pipe up long ago because it wasn't confirmed, but then decide to pipe up once someone else has (it must be true due to the delay)

Go figure - now the club has made an official announcement there's nothing to speculate about. Hmmmmmmmm.

After filling in their expenses forms it leaves little time for much else.
McCartney is a big sports fan,round ball game though,maybe that's why Baz got him involved.

Why didn't you turn up 7 pages ago? Like it or not, rumour is pretty much what keeps these boards (and casual interest in the club) going in the off-season.

LF13, rumours are fantastic & do keep the conversations flowing, but it amazes me that 90% of the rumours on here are all negative

As pointed out above, the posters were quick to destory the club with negative comments, this also means potential fans & current fans who think highly of the club suddenly become concerned (elements of doubt creep in)

The original poster was so confident this was the case & felt the need to share the false information (which even if they had a strong link with an employee of the club, Ukuma's agent or Ukuma himself has never been the case throughout the signing) they still felt the need to post the negative lies.

They obviously dont have a good contact within the club & as suggested, they've obviously picked it up from the chinese whispers around the area
