| Well game day!
Hope to see our attack final hit the mark. These off loads need to stick too much dropped ball so far. If we can make them stick then we are going to create some real problems this season.
Hope to see more of the same from grix, I thought Connor was dropped unfairly but grixs support play, chiming into the line and second phase stuff is a lot better and more frequent.
The props should run over the wakey pack. There pack is down on injuries I believe so hopeful our lads will play hard and win that battle.
Looking for Bailey to find some form again, he did have a good ability to run a good line and make a break with an offload usually in there!
In the end we need to two points to get us up where we need to be!

He may make some sacrifices to be a professional sportsman but, unfortunately, I have to make sacrifices too and so does everyone else! It's called life. It's a bit rich is that. They are family men too don't forget! Just because they may not be out at work during the day doesn't mean their wives aren't and their kids will be at school- they aren't prioritising their social lives- they are prioritising their families- and so they should!!!!
Looking forward to today- perfect rugby weather for a change at wakey!!!!!

Think about it Danril the players have nothing to do with when the games are played this is down to the league and Sky tv.I will say though what was the point asking us fans to vote on which day we would prefer to watch our team?

| I agree with Danril. What about the fans family time. Some families spend their quality time at Fartown matches. Thursday nights (and sometimes Friday nights) means younger children can't go because of the time, therefore preventing paying fans 'family time'
I'm pretty sure Eorl has done his media bit on a Sunday after playing on a Friday.
He trains on a morning and is done for lunch. He will get to see his kids every evening unlike a lot of people. He gets weekends off for 2-3 months whilst spending Christmas with his family. Again something not all of us are lucky enough to do due to working for probably half of what he gets paid.
It has got my back up a bit, I'll be honest.

| Hatrick by grixy (mr backup) in first 10 minutes- then we went to pot. Ellis is having a shocker. We can't keep hold of the ball with the line begging. Line speed is back to normal (painfully slow) and we are standing back and letting wakey throw the ball about. - except they aren't dropping it. Their kicking game has been exceedingly good.
We have all the creativity but not the skill to execute it. We should still win this but grrrrrrrrrrrrrr

| Storming start with Grix getting a hat trick in 9mins... still not enough to take the record from Thorman though who did his hat trick in 6mins!
after that we struggled to complete the sets... but this is a given with the Giants going back to the start of 2014 now.
Good to see mcgillvary come back on after having to go off, he certainly wins us some penalties!
why was Brough not kicking at the end? seemed ok but must have taken a knock maybe.
to win any SL game but 30points is a good thing so cant complain too much
next week will show how far we have come when we face warrington

I don't think you have understood. Professional sportsmen aren't the only people in the world that have kids.
If Eorl is really that bothered about Sundays then he can always find another job. Another job in which he may still have to work Sundays and a heap of extra hours on top for much less money and where he doesn't get to post tripe in a newspaper so he can go shooting clays on a Sunday morning.
Eorl plays RL because he is good at it and it pays well compared to what else he could do with the tools he has at his disposal. He is a lucky man. Some people would quite happily play for free for the glory of it, not dictate garbage articles to a reporter in a newspaper that make him sound ungrateful for the luxury of being lucky enough to work 15hrs a week for a rake of cash because society has deemed that the way things are!
In 5 years Eorl's opinon may well be somewhat different. But when he started out RL was played on a Sunday and he knew what he was letting himself into didn't he. To whine about it when he's earning big bucks for 15-20hrs a week when he's already posted on twitter that he spent Sundays on the off-season shooting rather than playing with the bairns means I'm not buying the BS. From him or you.

i wouldn't go that far but we should have been out of sight at half time, 18-0 up and 3 glorious chances that we really should have taken would have meant a near enough 30-0 scoreline.
as it was we rested on our laurels, wakey got a try back and we seemed to go to pot after that, we just aren't clinical enough, yes we won 44-14 but we played a poor side but in reality it should have been another 50 point drubbing.
not complaining though, 3 weeks ago we were on the brink of relegation

| If we had actually bothered playing for more than 30 minutes then we could and probably should have had 70,80 even 90 !!!
We were never in danger of losing that game even in 2nd gear. yes we had a bit of a bad patch which let them get excited for a bit but that was all IMO.
Wakey are god awful, a lot worse than i actually thought they would be, we rode their mini revival and strolled to yet another easy 2 points over there.
What would worry me if i was a wakey fan is the sight of their bench laughing and joking around almost all game even though they were getting stuffed, if that was my team's coaches/subs etc i'd be a bit annoyed they didnt seem bothered really - maybe they weren't as they dont see beating us as a target anymore !

Charming.
They work hard - and not just training or on the pitch- they do a lot of promotional stuff too- and they sacrifice a lot. They can't go on holiday when they want- even get married when they would like!!! They aren't out drinking at the weekend- (or during the week!) strict diet etc etc
I don't begrudge them. Shame you do.

| Clearly you don't make any sacrfices in your life if that's all you have to counter with. I work hard. Most people work hard. Don't you? How are they special for working hard or having families?
They are priveleged people and they whine about it. Not drinking to earn what he earns is no sacrifice. I don't drink during the week either. I do that because I have a job too and if I didn't have my brain in gear then I'd not be able to do it and would no doubt lose it. I don't eat pizza or chinese every night. These sacrifices of which you speak are nothing unusual or harsh. Some people can't go on holiday at all, for example. His pay is way above what most people earn and is way above what he will earn once he is retired yet he's moaning. When he stops playing and gets into a more mainstream line of earning his money he will find the same inconveniences confront him then for a lot less money. That is my point, a point you have consistently failed to grasp.
You'll have to forgive me for not getting the violin out because Eorl's chosen career that he persued didn't change to fit around him. If he was a bit brighter maybe he could have chosen differently and gone for something that suited his weekend pursuits. As it is he's a great big lump of a bloke who can play rugby league, which was generally played on a Sunday when he made the choice to try and become a RL player.
What the "normal" folk spend all week doing and sacrificing their own family time for including weekends, after school, Christmas etc etc, to earn and support their families they then also use to pay his wages. And he moans. And then you defend the indefensible. Please.

| He made a comment he prefers to play Thursday's or Friday's- big effing deal! Id prefer to work 9-5 in my chosen career but I dont- won't stop me saying i'd prefer it!
These guys have 15 years if they are lucky. They give up the opportunity to study, get degrees - or have to do it as well as their job. Then they have to find something else.
Listen to you saying you pay his wages- what do you sound like! Remember Eorl had the opportunity to go to bradford when they were in their heyday- and he stuck with the giants- perhaps he should have taken that opportunity rather than shown his loyalty for all it stands for with you.
You just sound like you have a case of sour grapes to me

| And again you fail to grasp the point.
Give up the opportunity to study?! Haha! Come on! Doesn't stop those that want to or are able to. Plenty of them get degrees whilst playing because they have the free time to do so. You've helped prove a small slither of my point! Many of them are just not smart enough to get degrees and, in reality, the money they earn now is the best money they will ever earn. Some of them are also not smart enough to realise how good they have it and how grim things may get for them when it is all over.
It's not sour grapes by me. I made my choices and I will stand by them. It would be nice if some other people did the same.

Clearly you have never studied for a degree "part time" and have no idea how difficult it is- and how much longer it takes!!!! I have and I can tell you it's bloomin hard work! Have you any idea how long it took robbo to complete his degree??? They don't have fixed work days- so miss lectures etc. Yes the money they earn now is the most they will earn- so what? Are they not entitled to make comments about preferences just because they happen to be earning well?
As for the Many of them are not smart enough comment???? That's really angered me- that's just stereotypical garbage-and Htf would you know!!!!
