Even adding that on, and assuming the angelic side that is wakey didnt give away a single penalty last week, they are still dirtier than Huddersfield.

I think Vasty was being ambivalent about the second part of his post which was suggesting that we could be dirty or we could be tough or manly. the issue was that it is something you deal with rather than doing a Matterson about.

Hence I went and had a look and to be honest after the one way traffic of Castleford it's en inevitable we will concede penalties and have people on report - they had 67% of the ball.

DG I think that even there Vasty has got it wrong. Matterson should raise an issue like grapple tackles withe RFL if that is what he believes. he should 'run to teacher'. He should do it professionally and discretely. When TM blubbed to the press he got it wrong.

Clearly he got it wrong if the RFL don't back him.

Yes as far as I'm concerned Hudds under Smith were physical borderline dirty though barely comparable to the early 70's teams.

Now they appear a little more physical than last year from what I have seen but not much and in all honesty and well within the bounderies as I see them. There will always be physical teams in the competition if you can't at least attempt to face up to them (even if you fail) then you really don't belong.

What TM really needs to do is fire his team up a bit more and front it out, moaning to the press won't help.

That said I've no doubt Brown will have a good and unjustified winge at some point, he is an Aussie thay can't help it. Ditto Kear will play his mind games at some point when it suits, he's a coach. His turn will probably come should Hudds rough us up next time we play, so will I that's how it goes. If it goes the other way he and I won't say a word.

One things for sure I would listen to Kear, Brown and Matterson moan 24/7 rather than ever have to listen to a Jon Sharp self pitying blubathon ever again.

In today's Examiner NB refers to 2 people ringing round and making 'allegations' against the Giants.

Such clear public statements lead to RFL charges if what is alledged unfounded. However if the RFL know that NB is right then they will not charge him...they haven't.

It is likely to be a team we have played. Not Matterson / Tigers.

That leaves 4 clubs and it is very unlikely to be Catalans (lst game and a new Oz coach like NB).

I do not think Mick Potter is that type of guy and NB rates him as a coach so would not describe him as not having a clue. Likewise Keiron Purtill is better than that. I could be wrong re Saints! What do others think?

Someone threw Aspers a hospital pass and he got absolutely smashed by Big Les. Then, Les appeared to be trying to mount Aspers whilst at the same time removing the head from his neck by twisting!

Fair play to Aspers though, two tackles later he ran on to a ball and broke down the right hand side. Tough as teak is Martin.
