to be fair to the Ref's our players rarely give them any option as the penalties we concede are generally pretty straight forward pen's that most of us in the stand can see before he gives it.

Eh? i'm on about the ones who walk round to the flats at half-time mouthing etc then come and stand in amongst the vocal giants fans with 10-15 mins to go pushing and shoving and abusing folk, generally trying to get a bite and get them to kick-off....it has in the past but these days we just ignore it as it's such a regular thing at Wakefield now.

I know Wakefield and Huddersfield fans have had "discussions" on travelling support in the past however in the last couple of years I remember that you had a good travelling support to our place. Long may it continue.

Our team has had a couple of near misses (as you might have seen if you saw the Saints game). However I fear we are becoming the walking wounded and our great enthusiasm is not getting us the results.

I see this fixture as already a key point for us and we need to push for the win. We have trips away to Wigan and Leeds coming up soon so we need to get some home victories.

Cheers Wildshot.....We've always had a fairly decent support at Wakefield, Majority of our fans have always stood down the side rather than behind the sticks in what was traditionally the 'away end' so folk looked at the number of C&G shirts/scarves etc on that terrace and presumed that was it !!.

It's one of those games where anything can happen as we're just finding form, Wakey are losing their's and they have one or two injuries which as we all know makes a team battle even harder, one things for sure both teams will be up for it and it could be a bit tasty as it usually is over there.

Nice to see the how much of our squad has played this season. Keeping everyone on there toes I suppose.
Just looking at the table. A win would take us to 4th! Should we beat our bogey side the week after away from home... We'd jump to 3rd and confidence would be through the roof. Not bad after a shaky start to the season. However... One game at a time.

He may make some sacrifices to be a professional sportsman but, unfortunately, I have to make sacrifices too and so does everyone else! It's called life. It's a bit rich is that. Swings & roundabouts and ultimately the guy has far more perks than drawbacks when it comes to his current profession. He, and they, are getting more like footballers with attitudes like that. He won't be doing a 35hr week, never mind a 60hr one and he'd do well to think on before coming out with crap like that.

i agree he should spare a thought for the fans, a lot of our fans are families who, im sure prefer sundays to thursday or friday nights so the kids can enjoy the game, people have still got friday nights and saturdays to do things with families,
a lot of people bought season tickets in the past thinking that the giants would play on sundays and it seems quite a few haven't bothered in the last few years, when we are trying to build the fan base up im not sure having a high profile player endorsing thursday/friday night games is a good way to go.

players shouldn't be prioritising their social lives like this, they should , IMO, be trying to encourage people to come and watch the games, by saying thursday and friday nights are good for them as it enables them to go out on the razz etc on saturday is sending out the wrong message in my eyes.

anyway let's hope the players are 100% focused and committed tomorrow, we've only had one sunday game so far and that was a disaster!
