We now have a team believing in themselves with a coach in KP who is proving himself more and more as the weeks progress. We will beat all of the top 4 teams in our upcoming away games and cement our place in the top 2. We will then go on and win promotion to SL at the expense of Huddersfield. BeLEIGHve. Correct, defence today was awesome. Bailey played long minutes and looked to to blend in nicely. No complaints today nilling London was the icing on the cake and anyone could have got MOM everyone played their part, we even made Samut look average.

To be fair Sammut missed a fair chunk of the game, but I admit we seem to be getting better every game scoring some good tries and taking on the line now,Craig Hall created 3 of the 4 tries in the first half, and since returning has been very good, shows what Jukesys opinion of him was worth.
Our back line is getting more menacing every week , get Rhys Evans in and Morty back, the hard fast ground will benefit us,hopefully we can come through the Month of Menace, in May and show what we all hoped we could do, we are far from the complete item but getting there.Give KP the job now .

Stuck in work again today but 40-0 tells its own story. KP has galvanised the squad but it should not be overlooked that Mickey is back too and will also be having an influence both on and off the pitch.

Furthermore Ridy seems to have lent Ben his best kicking boots.

There were some excellent tries, but what was most pleasing was the determination not to concede points, even when London broke the line. Those breaks would have all been tries, earlier in the season

Great result and I am now firmly in the camp of giving KP the job now. The lads are playing with pride and passion. The efforts to keep London to zero today prove that even more than the impressive 40 points. Out of adversity the coach has guided them the brink of the top 4. To give him the job before we face the “Month of Menace” will complete the galvanizing of the team.

What is this orgasm over Sammut as if he is some world beater, he was on long enough to give us problems but I didn't see him do much, nor did I a few weeks ago

Our back line is now starting to click, the halves are are taking the line on and making the opposition defence think. Thought our props would be a possible weak link but they are starting to dominate, most of them capable of doing long minutes - Bailey made a promising debut

No champ team will fancy playing us at the moment - just hope we haven't left it too late

I only have 2 Os a day these days so wouldn't waste one on Sammut, only stating he missed around 30 minites today, and with Andy Greg at 7 London wouldn't have won,since Craig Hall has arrived back we look a different team in attack,we are now beginning to believe in ourselves,I've been saying g for ages 10 to 20 metres scrums from yer opponents line should result in tries around 50% from the first tackle as it's like a 7 a side game,we scored 3 tries like this at Sheff and Hally runs at the line a lot.
Still the Month of Menace to come,hopefully we will deal with it accordingly,and a week end in Blackpool to come, can't wait.

Purtill is a class act, what a difference having a coach with a rugby brain makes. Even though it seems the perfect timing for him to be the coach at Leigh, I'd leave everything as it is right now with regards contracts. When all matches in May are won, culminating with a big defeat of Toronto at the Bash, then a big reward is due.

And Catalans have played well once under McNamara, the 2017 MPG. Wouldn't it be nice to meet them once again this year in the MPG. For the ultimate response to what was a huge underachievement last year working with an inept coach. I'm sure DB is learning a lot this year.

The start of the season has created a hell of a dilemma - we are not in a position to plan for anything at the moment, we have the ability to go the rest of the champ season unbeaten but a couple of off days and we're knackered

I'm so glad the team seem to have turned a corner and are putting in some great wins. Onwards and upwards, I can see them going through the rest of the season unbeaten if they carry on playing like they are at the moment.

Looking forward to Blackpool now .....

I do advise caution with claims of promotion etc as these things can come back to bite you on the & always remember 2015 Q8's !

All said & done, I do think that overall this is a better team & now that they play as a TEAM instead of a group of individuals & with KPs influence there is still an outside chance of a top 3 spot, failure to make top 4 is not an option.

One thing that I have noticed is that many of the players physically look trimmer and are certainly looking fitter and faster in their play. A sure sign of a team that is training well.

Also, so refreshing to see 2 things:
1) a bit of open rugby, some cracking tries yesterday
2) scrambling defence when the opposition cut though, the last one especially was a 3 on 1 overlap - granted Dawson took the guys head to stop him but some real determination there

A dilemma, but I do think we need to strengthen. Cunningham's quote in the Bailey press release said he's still looking for new players to play down the middle, which makes sense when you look at what we have in reserve beyond yesterday's 17.

Yesterday's performance was as good as I've seen from Leigh for a long while. Got scrappy in parts in the second half, but that was after the game was gone. But if they keep that attitude in defence they'll give themselves a good chance over a tough run of games in May and June.
