There were excellent, although we were poor and missing 5 key players. Their first 17 is a top 6 team IMO and look really well coached, really tough game and probably not one you won't the way you are playing, it could get ugly.

Surprised Naughton has been dropped, played well against Catalan and won't be able to play against Hull on Monday. If Higson or Dawson gets a knock against Salford we are screwed.

We have everything to play for,and a committed performance is all i ask.All is not lost. Did you know, If - yes If, Leigh had beaten Wakey,Widnes & Catalan, We would be 4th in the league ahead of Hull Fc. I hope we can find some form on Friday. If not,then on Monday against you lot.

Sheens must have been kicking himself as well when O'Brien kicked him into the Championship but it sounds as if Marwan has replaced him wisely. Pete (whose pint never seemed to go down - down to his drooling) reckons that it is the first time in years that he's seen Salford playing as a team.

I know we didn't,and i'm not dwelling on it either. What was evident tho, was after the Warry game we were all quietly confident that we could get those 6 pts. We still have to be confident and positive in what we do,and keep working hard,you never know B&B owt can happen.

So we're sticking with a left edge of Vea, Brown and Dawson again. What could possibly go wrong.

Errrm - more than problems on the left. Salford looked extremely good on SL Show (yes, one doesn't see the whole dashed caboodle) - fast passes, numerous SUCCESSFUL offloads, quick switching of the line of attack etc. That said, the FC line looked really ragged - which gave rise to which, Bongser wonders?

Btw, someone posted on another thread (probably on page seventeen by now after all the shenanigans of the last few days) that the Hull full back was responsible for shipping fifty odd points. Harsh and a tad more given Salford's attacking play and his teammates' capitulation. Wonder what folk would post on here had Greg been sold a sidestep as Darnell McKintosh was as last man for Bladdersveldt?

Interesting point about games you didn't win, but I'm pretty sure all teams could say that.

NJ says he don't want to criticise the younger players, well Neil I will ! I don't know why you keep persisting with Ben Reynolds at scrum half? I could understand it if we had no alternative however, surely Ryan Hampshire deserves a go at SH? He's far quicker than Reynolds, he buzzes about the line looking for an opening and if he finds one, he's likely to go through it! I don't know who thinks he's a fullback? just because Cas and Wigan played him there should not be a reason for us to do the same !
Reynolds is making lots of mistakes which is baffling why he has been given the role of game Manager?
He made an almighty mess of attacking Cats line with his 'grubber kick', it was only thanks to Gregg McNally's quick hands he got Naughton over in the corner!
Take the pressure of Reynolds and lets have look at Hampshire at scrum half, please!
I'll not bother asking for Tickle to be dropped/rested, its obvious, he's going to play no matter how many penalties or loose carries or even, missed tackles he makes

I am inclined to agree 100%, we are missing a creative spark. For all of Ben Reynold's early promise, I do feel he has gone a little stale. I won't quite say he is at risk of burn out but I do feel a little rest will do him a world of good. However I am not paid to coach, Jukes is.

Did you know that if we had beaten Hull and Huddersfield which we should have done btw, we would be top of the league going into the Easter period.
One bit of comfort you could take from that is that you were a trifle unlucky not to win, but ran the league leaders very close

Very true B&B..So both hypothetical assumptions are equally as incorrect as they are correct.What could have been is past tense,what is,is, what will be,no one knows.

Being Wakey would have had to score 135 points in the Hull/Hudds games inclusively to reach peak spot,is a margin that would have never have been fulfilled.
