| After a worrying and sometime sloppy first 15 mins, I thought the boys put to together a fantastic and measured comeback and second half display. A really tight game but I personally believe that we deserved the win (regardless of what was a clear offside for a Bradford try )
Lots of positives, and it's clear that Jukes is working hard at changing our core style of play to suit the middle eights, while still looking to get the ball moving when appropriate.
Great games by all but especially Drinkwater, Higham and Reynolds. I think we missed Riddy at times of course but those three stepped up and guided the team very well for a first time out group. Liam Hood also looked good when on.
Edge of my seat all game and thanks to the never say die attitude I'm a happy camper now.
Well done Leyth

| We seem a lot more composed under Jukes stewardship than under Rowleys or bust style. We get better week by week. Looking forward to how we perform in the eights.

| Just been over to the Bradford Bulls board.
Despite being quite complimentary about the Bulls performance one of their fans proceeded to name call over whether the [iNO TRY[/i was sent upstairs as no try or try .....
Regardless of my error it was as clear as [iNO TRY[/i as I have ever seen.
Anyway, I think overall it was a fair result, Leigh dominated for long periods following the early dominance of Bradford & despite the [ifrankly criminal[/i adjudication of the clearly blind VR over Bradfords 2nd try, Leigh did well.
I now reserve the right to adjust my finishing positions for the Championship as ...
1. LEIGH
2. Bradford
3. London
4. Featherstone
*as posted yesterday*
Thought Greg Worthington was immense (often overlooked but had a blinder)
Acton not at his best.
Higham outstanding.
Higson, Hanson, Reynolds & Drinkwater had very good games.
Armstrong looked a shadow of his former self.
Tonga was average.
Role on the home game v Bulls.

| I haven't watched it back yet.
What reason did they give to justify the Bradford try that was BLATANTLY a mile offside?
Didn't even seem 50/50, complete madness.
Luckily class shone through and we picked up the points, crazy afternoon!

Went up as a try with a query on the offside.
If it was offside it was centimetres. I thought it was ever so slightly offside, but the camera angle may have been deceptive, so not enough evidence to overturn the on-field decision.

Did you really watch the same game? Acton was superb: played long, long minutes, made a huge number of tackles and hard yards every time he had the ball. What more do you want from a prop? And his discipline was good too. Hood also had his best game in a Leigh shirt.

| I was at the game yesterday, but just watched it again on Sky and im very proud of ALL the lads, I thought Gaz Hock had a blinder, his runs and tackling were monstrous, but every player gave his all.The 2nd try was definately offside and it showed, Drinkwater will get better running our huge pack,I applaud the Mighty Leythers 1 to 17, and the Leythers fans, although a couple did try to ruin it.
I'm getting ready for today's games now, cmon Batley, Swinton, and Fev ,I like Fev and Fax , but today I'm a Flat Capper, I sat next to John and Dave (Fevgrinder)at yesterday's game and they BOTH cheered Leigh throughout the game, well done lads, today I shall cheer Fev.

| From a Bulls fan, the offside try should not of been given as a try because it was clearly offside, whether the ref sent it up as a try or not

He's going to have to take on Mickey's burden for the next few games when/if Mickey gets suspended. I wonder if they will use Foster in the 17, or move Drinkwater to dummy half?

Not the right circumstances obviously, but Higham could do with a rest - runs himself into the ground week in week out.
Same goes for Weston, looked a bit jaded yesterday - but not sure we are going to have the option with him.
Hood looked good yesterday, and will step ok if he performs like that regularly.
Thought Hock was excellent, but that may well be the last time we see him this season

I know a one off game is hard to judge, but judging on yesterday Leigh looked far better under Rowley. I thought Leigh did not look anywhere near as good as they potentially could be but Bradford did not look good at all and must have been gutted with the first half given how much possession Leigh gifted them they really should have posted more points. You can get away with that in this league but in the 8's all the Champ teams will be further away than last year in my opinion.

Week in week out we the Leigh Fans see the little things improving which we didn't see under Rowley. Unless you subscribe to Centurions TV you wouldn't notice those little things but they will put us it good stead when it matters.
We were great defensively yesterday and had to be with the amount of ball Bulls had, manufactured from a good kicking game which we struggled with. I also thought our kicking game wasn't as good as Bulls.
I thought a draw would've been a fair result but attitude and never say die attitude won it for us

I wouldn't be in a hurry for those to come round, despite all your new signings' you don't look any better than last year tbh, Widnes, Hudds, Leeds, and KR will all blow you away in the middle eights.

Hi there GFB.
We are not playing the fluent rugby of last season. Early season injuries (and departures! ) in the backs, plus bigger, better forwards, have necessitated a forward dominated approach. We are still missing McNally, who so much revolved around last season. (I know we got an excellent replacement in Lee Smith, but he isn't creating the space and tries that McNally did.) We have yet to settle with a half back partnership - hopefully that will change, when Drinkwater settles in - and we are definitely lacking the pace that Brierley and McNally gave us.
I agree we don't look like we will be able to beat the bottom SL teams yet, but hopefully when we get McNally, Tonga, Ridyard, Moimoi and Patterson back on the pitch, the fluency will come.

Yeah, the pack and some decent defence too considering how much ball we gifted them.
We had far less chances in good territory than Bradford but still managed to get the win.
Far from our best but winning ugly in a huge match like that is every bit as good as putting them to the sword.
9 points clear of Bradford with a +100 better points difference. That SHOULD cement our place in the all important top 2!

It was an exciting game though - played in an excellent spirit. In fact, most of the games have been close - with only Sheffield and Featherstone letting the side down!
