was tonights match really worth playing in this weather at least 6 of our players came off injured only hope there fit for the start of the saeson

In hindsight tonight NO, but last week YES

We needed to play a match, one game v a Wigan youth team is no preperation for a away fixture at Fev.
Obviously the injuries are unfortunate but a few more players will be a little more 'battle hardened after a run out and a few hard hits so it may actually help long term.

Great Credit to both sides for actually getting playing in terrible conditions.
Well done to Leigh who i thought showed more purpose with the ball in hand.
Also every credit to the management and staff of LSV in making the stadium useable.

Barring the conditions both teams played as good as they could & I thought Swinton played decent & with the new 8 team playoff format I think they may qualify.

Considering I got home to Appley Bridge at 4am after 6 hours stuck on the M6 behind a series of jackknifed lorries..... I would stand in the NO camp!

should have been called off.I got home to southport at 3 30 am,thank god im moving back to gods country next week

Shouldn't have been played 6 injuries plus one of the cheerleaders went off limping ,health and safety gone mad

Think this is a classic case of not being able to do right for doing wrong. if it had been called off people would have moaned about society going soft. they play the game and people moan.

I wonder if you moaners would be of the same opinion if you would have put 100 points on us and avoided injuries?

Personally im glad RL is back and id rather watch 100 games of snowy rugby than one game of sunny football. i think both sets of players and both clubs as a whole deserve credit.

I had to get back to Salford and if TV Tony hadn't given me a lift home down a treacherous East Lancs I doubt I would have got home last night.

We went because we are Leigh diehards. I was freezing but I am a fan.

I would have preferred better weather conditions as no doubt would the attendees plus the players and officials.

Ive just about warmed up and got the feeling back in my toes

I cycled it there which wasn't great but getting home was a horrible nightmare as the snow thickened as the game KO'd. I've never seen snow flakes so big but they did quench my thirst when my legs were on fire ploughing through the snow

Now Now Captain , as you well know , im one of the Napoli Carolis ,and have been a Butts Bridger for 50 years ,my in-laws are the pies, they are from Worsley Mesnes and Hawkley Hall , though i never talk about that

Trouble being is that the players needed the game time and the club needed the finance -not that there will be much after the bill for the undersoil heating goes in - , injuries are a fact of rugby life unfortunately.

I'm sure the players much preferred playing in the heavier snow compared to the horrible sleet that was coming down at about half 6.
