does anyone know if James Laithwaite is now dual registered from HKR or is it still Warrington ?

He is going on loan from Warrington to Hull KR starting Tomorrow apparently, we wont see him as long as he is on loan to them.

Do you know what the situation would be if he was on loan to hkr but they dont play him,will we be able to have him then?

Seems a bit stupid in terms of Laithwaite progressing and getting game time. He is NOT in the HKR squad for Huddersfield tomorrow and then there will be no rugby for him the week after as it is the Exiles match. In other words, he is just going to be sitting on his backside for the next few weeks now instead of playing, if that info is correct. I bet he is delighted, NOT!

Seems to me if he is not in HKR's squad 2morro and as they have no match next weekend it is always possible the loan agreement may not begin until a week tomorrow.

An impeccable source told me today incidentally that the Pies are looking for a Non Relegation club to send Spencer out on loan to too.

Well I don't think that helps any Championship club at all ie loaning out a player to a club in the same league and I think the RFL should put a stop to it' not least because I rate both of the players I have mentioned.

You can't have a triple registered player - well not at this time anyway.

We have not heard anything about JL either on the Warrington board - I have resorted to coming over here to see what is going on !
I would also agree that the timing of the move looks a tad strange if he is not playing for two weeks. The only thing I can think of is that he could have been selected for the 9,s competition which is now running on a Tuesday night ?

What is surprising about this loan deal is that HKR don't seem to be doing too bad for backrow forwards.

How and why this deal helps Laithwaite I wish someone would tell me and I thought that was why he was offered to Leigh in the first place.

Unfortunately true, although as rumoured I believe it's that if he's not required by Hull KR or Warrington then he can still play for Leigh - Warrington have made it clear apparently that they want him to play Super League for HKR and if not then they are to let us know so that we're aware of his availability.

Gutted he has been quality is Andy Thornley still on trial with us?

I've just read about the interesting twist. Apparently Warrington and Hull KR cannot agree on loan fee for Laithwaite, so the deal is off. Good news if true.

It seems Warrington and HKR are struggling to agree regarding a wages contribution from Hull KR for Laithwaite.

Right, how does this dual reg work ?
We had Matty Russell on loan, didn't really need another full back, but he's a good player. Not selected for Hull today, do we not have an option on him, albeit we don't know when Hull's coach decided he wasn't playing.
James Laithwaite, we've lost him, BUT not in the side for Friday's game at Saints.
So if a 'championship/scum league' club has a dual reg, they feel obliged to have him in their squad, BUT if a SOOPER DOOPER league has a player on dual reg, they can just have them training with them/on 'stand by' ?
If Wire/Dull KR don't need him, he just sits in the stand ????

That's the problem with this system it only helps S/L club because there in control. Seems Warrington like to use your club so on the plus side you must be doing thing professionally player wise but on down side you never have them when they are at there best.
