Did you spot the 'deliberate' mistake?

At the start there was a montage of tries from Wigans history and about midway through who pops up scoring a try at Huddersfield, our very own Dessie Drummond, the researcher obviously didnt spot the name on the video/film and because we were wearing cherry and white hoops on the day (and playing Huddersfield?) spliced in the wrong try

for the BEEB but great for us





The BBC strikes again

yeah i spotted that,wondered what was going on.great to see dessie in full flight again.

also making a fleeting appearance on the show, the one and only christopher hill, during the egg chasing segment. also did anybody else notice, all the games still had the engage goal post pads on, one would of thought they would of been chnaged, for stobart.

Stobart dont have exclusivity , as Engage had, expect to see Heinz big soup or something else on posts, refs shirts, stevo's tie

I can't believe you lot are viewing this as positive. If I were a Leigh fan i'd be writing to the beeb for an apology on next weeks show.

The error was that they were trying to show tries from Pies v Leeds matches and althought the match was played at Fartown it was Leigh v Leeds in the old John Player Trophy semi final in the mid 80's - so they were half right.

It was a cracking try, off the base of a scrum - the only problem was that he dropped it about 2 feet off the ground but, in the days before video refs, it was given.

It happened just in front of where I was standing but made no difference to the result - we lost!!!

And it made it on to the BBC's 101 Top RL Tries video

We (well I posted it as such) are viewing it as a BBC mistake nothing more or less, we have enough of our own who see things that are not there or intended.

i realise that steve, however i am convinced engage have not just agreed to sponsor the goal post padding, just lazy from the slclubs if you ask me.

I read that only Salford used their own goal post pads. Mind, they may have come with the stadium?
