| With Saints and Wire through and a free weekend, does that mean they could all feature this Thursday.

| Would imagine he'll be eagerly waiting for the call, after the frustration of sitting on the bench for 80 mins yesterday for Saints.

| I like Deano but if we have Tom back Thursday I'd stick him on Nanyn's wing as AJ & Maden can cope with Yere & stick with what has worked before already

| I'd put Nanyn/McG on the wings and Higson/Armstrong centres. Nanyn seems to make too many wrong calls leaving his winger with 2 men to mark.

Rhys evans has another 4-6 weeks of re-hab on his broken foot - major surgery, bones plated and metal dowel inserted, some 4 weeks ago - his season is over - will come back for pre-season training in December

so you'd drop Maden who has been outstanding this season & play Nanyn on't wing I'm glad you're not making the team selection

| As a FEV fan i'd plead with you to leave McG and Nanyn where they were last thurday. Nanyn is a superb kicker but lawdy his workrate is appalling, his positional play is non existent and he can't tackle for toffeee. McG has pace to burn and a decent enough workrate but can't tackle and he folds under pressure. I'm sure you won't agree and my opinions only come from last thursday and the Dewsbury game.

To be fair you're not far wrong on the combination of the two of them being something of a weak link, though I think you're barking up the wrong tree a little in that the problems stem from positional indiscipline rather than poor technique or effectively not being any good at tackling; Nanyn in particular has been far better in defence this season than previous years.

| to be fair to Deano he can tackle well it's just as shame for the size of him you'd expect him run like a whippet & although he aint a slouch his apperence can be deceptive

| It was more a poor defensive line rather than 1 on 1 defence.
We,ll be reet.
As already quoted though, thank God some on here are not our coach !!

See this is whats interesting, I dont see that. I see a liability against the better teams who have pace.

| What I find interesting, is how one defeat is being blamed on one or two three-quarters. Pace or not, indecision or not, weak defence or not - these are the guys who, playing as a TEAM, have overcome any individual deficiencies, to be defeated only three times this season.
We didn't / weren't allowed to, play as a team at Featherstone. We have to trust our coaching team and regular players to get it right over the next two (hopefully!) matches.

Spot on Alan. Fev exploited the defensive system we use rather than it being specific players for a lot of the time. The mistakes only came from the indecisions caused by how Fev 'played' us.

Thats why you're not a coach could you imagine nanyn tracking back to return kicks?
On the whole defensively Mick has been much better this year, you need to bear in mind the is usually 3 rd man in ( from the touchline) in defence.
I really like deano he will be a good asset but in my opinion he doesn't, trust his inside defender and often comes inside far too soon leaving the overlap just needs to hold his nerve a little.
However if it was down to me and it's not , I'd start with Tom Armstrong and Mick in centres with maden and higson on wings
