After all the cost cuttings made to Salfords new ground. Do they have undersoil heating? Surely a factor when arranging a friendly in Dec/Jan.

Wasn't that because of the bridge over the bypass? The LSV staff had gritted and cleared all around the stadium but the Wi&an council hadn't gritted the path on the bridge over the by-pass. The Police called the game off on H&S grounds!

Yeah was summat like that. Still shows no guarantee of the game going ahead anyroad even when the pitch is fine.

Salford's new ground should have gas powerred under soil heating from a locally produced fragrant source just down the road. It may give a new meaning to them having a stinker of a game.

Been to the Willows more than half a dozen times this season and yet to have a problem, though admittedly I do take my Leigh scarf out of the back window etc.

I've parked in the side streets near The Willows at almost every home game for the last 13 years and never had any problems (no Salford colour in the car either).

The only fixtures I've ever had my car damaged at were Whitehaven (2003 - slashed tyre) and Leigh (smashed windscreen after you'd beaten us in the Cup).

Don't hold it against you or the place though, just the work one mindless idiot, which every town and city has.

Without wanting to put anyone off, it's interesting to note that the crime rate is higher in Barton (the site of our new stadium) than it is in Weaste (home to The Willows). Funny how perceptions colour your view, eh?!
