I've never been more proud to be a Leyther than tonight. The lads gave their all and with a couple of lucky breaks could have been in the next round.
Every one of those players tonight can hold their heads high with pride (unlike a certain Mr Childs can do)

Also our fans tonight where frickin awesome, who says you need away fans to create an atmosphere? the noise never stopped for the full 80 and then some

Totally agree with all of that. I also felt we missed that little bit of magic at the vital time but the effort from the lads was fantastic.

Also, if we had nanyn to kick the goals and childs not giving them easy conversions for no apparent reason not to mention the clear knock on 'try' we could be on the way to wembley!



This team has got lots of talent and very well drilled we have to win at least one cup this year because its our best chance in a long time.

An unbeliveable night,these young players now know they can mix it with the best of super league.

17 home grown talent v a multi million pound team and they are scambling for a drop goal to try and win.

The roar from the crowd all through the game was fantastic[2200 did someone forget to hand in some tickets

Horse, sad, angry but most of all proud of that bunch of fantstic players. Everyone of them stood up and was counted. Every single bloody one of them. What a roar there was inside tonight. Would love to know what it sounded like from the town centre. This team is the mutts nuts and will only get better. They play for each other like I have only ever seen in our best sides. Who needs DCs.

I think we only used 16 players too, I dont think Pownall the other sub was used, I dont recall him coming on, Im I right?

Doesn't matter, he was part of the squad tonight so can be lumped in with the rest.

One of the things that stood out tonight for me were MR getting the knees to the head and coming back even better and JD getting flattened while tackling only to get back and go flying into the next tackle and driving the Cats player back. I know there were heroic performances all over the park tonight but they really showed how much this team is progressing. To take a heavy knock and come back with more shows that there is a code of not letting the team down. A don't give in mentality .

The only way to describe the performance tonight was ' brutal ' , the defensive effort smashed the Dragons players to pieces , absolutely incredible well done one and all

As a saints fan decided to have a look at the LSV and take in the game. Wow what a game. Leigh were definately the better side and were really unlucky not to take the game into extra time. As suggested Mr Childs was very poor tonight but its fair to say Leigh had further chances in the first half to put the game to bed but lacked a little composure. But hey I was proud to have been there and watched a fantastic leigh performance. A credit to British RL.

Im going to stick my neck on the line and say if we play like that for the rest of the season nobody in our league will touch us. Before todays game i was doubting how good we really are after the barrow and fev games. Well they shoved it in my face. The Duals shouldnt get back in the team. I thought higgy was awsome tonight. Proud of all the lads.

Higgy was an absolute demon in defence. Who would we drop for Nanyn, never mind the duals?!

Absolutely spot on Wayne. I am a poor loser but tonight I am as happy as if we had won.

And I suspect every Leigh fan walked away tonight feeling exactly the same. The result was somewhat secondary, the performance saw to that.

What a season this has been ALREADY! The two thumping wins against Widnes, beating Barrow, and the comeback at Fev...to name a few, not to mention STILL being undefeated by UK teams. Frankb has been saying for some time now that this is the best Leigh team for 30 years. Who would deny that tonight?

In a sense, a defeat of this nature was not a bad result at all. Its a well worn cliche but we need to focus and make sure we end up with one, if not two, trophies this season - something that the Challenge Cup could never (likely) give us.

I don't think we will go through the season undefeated..we are bound to have an off day and someone will enjoy knocking us off our perch..but I have every hope that we can tick a box at least once...

Amazing, couragous performance.
Thought after about 35 minutes we were looking like we were the team that were going to tire out, they must have seen that and came out after half time chucking the ball about and offloading in an attempt to get the game won and it backfired, you can't pass round our pack onto the flanks Goulden and Taylors cover defence is far too good.
I won't pick any particluar player for MOM because every single one of them should be proud of that performance.
2 moments of the match-our last try i've not heard leythers make a noise like that in a long time and at the beginning of the match Ferriol running in at top spped to show us who's boss, into Jimmy Taylor, got up slowly and looked at him almost to say 'jesus, it's going to be a long night playing this lad'
Crowd was over 3k for me but I don't blame the club for cashing in as we only get half the gate anyway.
